My boyfriend and I stayed with Lynn at her White Birch Lakeside Retreat and we cannot say enough good things about it! We live about 3.5 hours away from the area and Lynn called us on the way up to warn us about what roads get icy (we came the week after Christmas), and give more specific directions to her home. Her home is at the very end of a quiet, dirt road, directly across from the beautiful lake with a view of Jay Peak across it. The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable, and the same was true of the bathroom. Lynn was quite friendly and welcoming, and we enjoyed conversing with her over breakfast (which she put out for us each morning), as well as in the evening when we returned from the day's events. She even provided me with an ice pack and a muscle relaxing cream for my bruised knee (we came up to snowboard at Jay Peak). She recommended restaurants for us in town, where we had a delicious meal and an amazing dessert. I would love to come back and stay with her any time during the year. Her property is perfect for so many activities whether it is skiing/snowboarding in the wintertime, or swimming/kayaking/water related activities in the lake in the summer time. She also has access to a rail trail right outside her door, and told us it is just a two mile walk to Canada! Thank you Lynn - we hope to come back for another visit!
