This is a very simple studio cottage, surrounded by old Oaks on a unique property, about a mile from highway 24 and the Orinda BART station.
The amenities are limited, but so is the cost :)
Bed is a memory-foam KEETSA Cloud. Great place to relax.
Recently added per feedback from previous guests: desk & chair for working on a laptop, a mini fridge, and a microwave!
A studio guest cottage with bed, bathroom and shower. There is no kitchen, laundry, or TV, it's really just a place to sleep and relax in a peaceful neighborhood outside the city. Cozy and super clean.

I'm happy to meet you and answer any questions you might have about the space and the area. Beyond that I give my guests plenty of space and privacy.
There is regular road noise during waking hours, but the road is ~150 yards from the house, so it's not loud. If you are looking for true silence, a simple pair of earplugs will do the trick. By midnight its eerily quiet out here and about the only thing you'll hear outside are frogs, crickets, and the occasional coyote.
Single occupancy only, no additional guests, sorry!
Please drive slowly, especially when leaving (the drive down the hill is steep and the garage at the bottom creates a blind corner).
I'm a software engineer, passionate about music and the digital arts. People describe me as approachable, thoughtful, and an intellectual (though I may disagree!). I grew up surrounded by nature, and find it necessary to be immersed for at least a few minutes every day, though I work amidst the hustle of city life.
Have strong appreciations for music, photography & video, and enjoy discussions around the intersections of futurology, science, and spirituality. I like to challenge assumptions, including my own.
As a traveler, I prefer plenty of space to relax; as a host, my default is to assume you'll prefer the same. We may never meet, and that's ok :) Though I have a busy schedule, I still love to engage in conversation with travelers given the chance. But if you're here to relax, I intend to let you do so fully.
