This is a great little cabin! My husband and I needed a true get-away-- no people, no city, no activities, just peace and quiet and beautiful scenery. And that’s what we got at this place! There is plenty to do in this area, but we just didn’t need that. We spent a four day weekend here and loved it. We took long walks, explored the river, and took lots of pictures of the amazing 120+ year old barn. James is a gracious host-- he made it clear that he was available if we needed him or wanted info about the activities in the area, but he completely respected our privacy. We only saw him when we checked in and when we checked out. Even though the cabin sits on the property with his house, it’s separated by a small slope and a hedge that’s large enough to give you privacy. The cabin has its own driveway and a large, beautiful, private side yard bordered by a creek. The side yard has the fire pit and a super cool three-sided shed that you can use if it’s raining. The entire cabin is decorated with awesome pieces that have tons of character. I loved the fireplace and thought this would be an excellent destination in the fall! The one-room cabin is very spacious, with a large bathroom that you don’t see in the pictures. The small refrigerator held all our food for the four day weekend-- we ate all but one meal at the cabin. We barbecued dinner twice and ate several meals on the little porch. One morning we watched a groundhog meander across the front lawn! And the morning we left, a whole bunch of hummingbirds were happily buzzing around the feeders on James’ porch. At night, it gets pitch black and the side yard becomes the playground of the biggest, brightest fireflies. We live in Oklahoma and have plenty of fireflies, but these guys are magical. We loved this place and highly recommend it!

A great cabin for a secluded stay! Just a short drive or bike ride away from amazing views in the Boston mountains. The fruit basket was top notch as well.

What a treasure nestled in the hills of Westfork. Secluded yet has quick access to Interstate & grocery/restaurants. Great area to just sit around the campfire or front porch and enjoy nature or go for a peaceful walk to the creek. James provided a stocked refrigerator of drinks and a basket of fruit & goodies. A great place for some rest & relaxation. Will be back!

Jim's cabin was the perfect retreat for my husband and I. The location is ideal; quiet and secluded, yet only 20 minutes north of a beautiful state park (Devil's Den) and 20 minutes south of a fun city in Fayetteville. Jim was particularly thoughtful with snacks, root beer, an assortment of teas, and toiletries, if we had forgotten anything. The weather was cool but not too cold, but we really liked the electric blanket, the cozy warmth of the rustic interior, and even making a fire in the side yard for yummy S'mores! We will definitely refer friends who are looking for a romantic get-away in the Arkansas mountains!
