Le logement

The whole of the property including the conservatory is centrally heated.

There is ample living space; consisting of a double aspect living dining room, a conservatory to the rear, a patio and seating area. There is a small but fully fitted kitchen with gas hob and electric oven, combination microwave, larder fridge, freezer and a dishwasher for guests to use.

The bathroom is fully fitted and has a walk-in shower.

In the main bedroom there is a double bed and in the second bedroom there is a sofa bed but really only comfortable for one person.

For bookings over 10 nights we offer to change the bed linen, towels and freshen up the bungalow at a time to suit at no extra cost and complementary tea and coffee is offered to guests.

Accès des voyageurs

As the driveway at the side of the bungalow is private, guests arriving by car are kindly asked to either park in front of the garage at the top of the drive or on street in the Village. However, it's a little difficult to negotiate but there is parking available in the village.

Check-in times are from 12.00-14.00 and from 17.00-19.00. Other times at prior arrangement.

The property does have an alarm which is easy to use.

If I am not around at the time you wish to stay then I will make arrangements for someone to meet you at a pre arranged time to show you around and make you welcome.

Le quartier

The property is located in a small village in the Holy Cross area of Clent and the Clent & Walton Hills are within easy walking distance which offer wonderful walks and spectacular views from the top.

There are a few good eating establishments too in the locality. All within walking distance.

Transports

There is a bus from the top of the lane at the cross roads, albeit every two hours, which takes you to Hagley for the local shops and then onto Stourbridge for good transport links, both Bus and Rail.

Free parking is an added bonus at both of these Rail Stations.

Birmingham City Centre can be reached by rail in 30mins and there are also direct services to Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick, Leamington Spa and for those traveling further afield there are some early morning direct services to London.

Help yourself to the tea and coffee.

The TV offers not only English transmissions but the Satellite receives German, Italian, French and Spanish channels. Other foreign language channels can be selected.

The driveway is shared with a neighbour therefore, I ask that should you arrive with your car it should be parked at the top of the drive in front of the garage.

Please make sure when you leave the windows are closed and the conservatory door, kitchen and front doors are locked.

The property has an alarm and easy to use. It would be appreciated that the alarm is it armed when you are not in the property.

Phil's home is in a peaceful spot in a pretty village and is within walking distance of a good pub/restaurant. We were made very welcome and it is a real home from home, the bungalow is warm, spacious and comfortable and certainly has everything you will need, and particularly for us is pet friendly. Communication with Phil and his housekeeper was excellent, they looked after us very well, and ensured we had everything we needed for our stay, a big thank you to both of you. We are really looking forward to staying at Phil's home again in the near future.

Great place, drive not as bad as it sounds unless you have a bus! We've got a Vauxhall insignia and had no problem.

Phil's place was perfect for me & a colleague to stay in for a couple of weeks while working. If this place is available I would snap it up. A real home from home & lovely people to deal with, I will be back.

Nice quiet neighbourhood. Met by host who was very helpful, and tolerated our slight delay in arrival. maps is not quite accurate on location on Holy Cross Green! Very comfortable house. Warm and comfortable. Lots of cereal, tea coffee etc. Great place. Easy access Birmingham and countryside to west and south. Great place for a rest, or to visit. Ideally need a car, ideally not too big if you want to park by the property's garage.

I booked this place for a friend, who came to visit us from Singapore. Everything about this place is five star, and my guests were extremely happy about the house, location, cleanness, hospitality and even the weather (yes, they came from tropics!), so they decided to extend their stay for another week. Phil was extremely helpful and kind, and he provided everything they needed during their stay. I would certainly keep this place in mind, so if any of our friends want to visit this area, I would strongly recommend them Phil's bungalow. The village is also lovely and peaceful, with beautiful sights and walking trails. Overall, I cannot be more satisfied with this AirBNB booking!
