What people like most is the location of my flat. In the centre of Madrid, it is walking distance to monumental & cultural Madrid, the old town, but also to the Gran Via and Malasaña for shopping & night life, eating, drinking & music for young and less young!
I offer fresh fruit for breakfast and tea or coffee with toast, homemade jam or honey. If you want to make a sandwich to take out with you, you can keep things in the fridge.

I´m English and have lived for half my life in Spain. I have lived in other European countries, but my most exciting experience was working for VSO as a teacher trainer in Indonesia and Africa for 5 years. I speak several languages, including Spanish..
My children suggested it was time to settle down Mum (!), so I am back in Madrid, still working and in my free time keeping active by running an excellent English library in Madrid and other activities like being a hands-on grandmother.
Having a big flat and no children at home, I started to let rooms through my job at St. Louis University and personal is a way of meeting interesting people and also helps to keep the wolf from the door!.
As a hostess, I am happy to help people in any way:some people really like suggestions for visits and to know what´s on; others are very independent and like to go their own way. I have no problem with either.
I have already received several groups of guest and am very content.
