Top of Woodacre, West Marin, private, open floor plan, two walls of windows looking out over the forest and hills, near Spirit Rock and Tamarancho, and one of the best Marin hiking trails starts right across the road.
The house is a craftsman, custom-architected, rustic-modern design, with two full walls of windows and lots of deck space. There's a master bedroom with a queen bed, a kid's room with bunk beds, a cottage bedroom with a queen bed, and a comfortable fold-down couch in the living room. Views abound, and there are many nice places to spend time outdoors on the property. The house stays nicely cool on hot days.

There's a 2-bedroom/2-bathroom house, with 1-bedroom/1-bath/kitchenette cottage attached via the deck. Guest will have access to everything except the lower level of the cottage, which is our storage area.
The last eighth-mile of our road, leading to the driveway, is a county, dirt road that's a bit rough in places, but 2-wheel-drive passenger cars do fine on it. All the other roads in the area are paved.
Also, note that this is our primary residence, so anytime we book it, we'll be taking a working vacation somewhere (we both telecommute). Thus, to make it worth it to us, we prefer longer stays, and will generally require a 5-day minimum. The only exceptions will be if we're already planning to be out of town.
We value mindfulness, cleanliness and respect for our neighbors. No smoking or parties.
Sean leads a web development team and is an aspiring cognitive scientist. Lindsey is a graphic designer and creative director. We have two sons (currently 1 and 8 years old). We love to travel and take long working vacations, especially to quaint villages with subtropical beaches or high mountains. Most of our favorite pastimes involve being in nature - hiking, climbing, snowboarding, swimming in rivers, and playing at the beach. We also like to play music. We're planning to learn to surf and become fluent in Spanish in the near future.
