Sweet Santa Fe-style home across from Baca Street Railyard zone just south of downtown area. Walk to markets, parks, and restaurants. Beautiful light, mountain views, quiet & friendly neighborhood, cozy beds. Perfect for relaxing & entertaining!
Our art-filled, light-filled Santa Fe style home is a visual delight and a cozy place to rest, rejuvenate, and reload after taking in all that Santa Fe has to offer. Hardwood floors, vigas, and a front porch to relax and enjoy expansive views of the mountains over Santa Fe make this an ideal spot to call "home."
We love to cook, and our kitchen is full of all the tools you need and all the spices and condiments you could ask for. Dining table will easily seat 6, and we have extra chairs if you add more guests. The front porch and the backyard are a dream to eat in during warm weather.
The neighborhood is safe and super quiet, although we are just 1 1/2 blocks off of Cerrillos. Driveway parking for two cars, plenty of parking on the street. Bus stop 1 1/2 blocks away. There are several community fitness and recreation centers within close walking and driving distance. The house is just off of the hike and bike trail that connects to the rail trail and downtown (the Plaza), and there are parks about 1/2 mile away with tennis courts. You can rent bikes from the Broken Spoke (1/2 mile from the house) or Mellow Velo (downtown), and the house is super central for biking around town (and right on the hike and bike trail).
Three bedrooms, two baths. The master suite has a brand new, high end, firm, pillow top queen sized bed, the second bedroom has a great, high end, firm queen size bed, and the third has a very comfortable full size bed. There is one full bathroom, and one 3/4 bath (with walk-in shower). Ideal for three couples, or a family with bigger kids/teenagers, or just a traveling tribe!
Super fire pit in the backyard for those of you who want to enjoy our night skies with a crackling fire, or who want to grill outdoors. Washer and dryer. No cable TV, but wifi throughout the house, ROKU with streaming movie access on the flatscreen (HBOgo, Netflix, and Amazon).
Here's the caveat: We have 4 very independent, indoor/outdoor cats. They come and go as they please through the pet door. Very few of our friends, and almost none of our guests, can believe we actually have 4 cats because they never see more than one or two (read our guest reviews!). There are NO cat boxes, and there are no pet odors in the house. I cannot emphasize enough that they are *very* low key animals, but this home is not for you if you have allergies or don't like cats. Hardwood floors and leather furniture means the fur issue is minimized--just to be clear! We ask that you keep their food and water bowls full, and that's that.
Santa Fe is an amazing city and lodging is quite expensive. Enjoy our beautiful city in your own cozy home, surrounded by art and Santa Fe style architecture. Anything else? Hmmm. Ask me!

The house is all yours!
We are avid snowboarders, hot springers, hikers, explorers, and eaters of yummy food, and Georgia is a former travel writer who has written several travel guides about New Mexico, and about Santa Fe specifically. This means you'll have a "hot sheet" of places to eat and visit, and activities to get involved in to maximize your stay in this amazing part of the world.
Ours is a cozy, livable home that is full of art. We have a child and there have always been kids (and tons of teenagers, lately) in the house, but being in it requires a certain respect for objects that are not toys. This is a home, not a gallery, and we entertain A LOT, but it is not a playground. If you've got small or wild children we ask you to please consider this before booking.
Because we have cats, we don't allow pets, and, please, no smoking :)
We only rent the house when we're away, so it'll be all yours.
We love people, love food, and we love to travel. We see the world as a place full of friends we haven't yet met, with new adventures always awaiting. Simple pleasures and human connections are the food of the soul. Trust and care are reciprocal and two of the greatest things we offer each other as humans.
And of course: Mi casa es su casa!
