Eco-friendly house, build in Summer 2012 w/3 indoor cats & a son born in Sep 2015. Our morning starts at 6, so it's a perfect place for early risers. The view from third floor window is great!
Your bedroom with a king size bed with a memory foam topper and huge really comfy bean bag is on the third floor (the finished attic.) The room has the curtain entrance for your privacy though there is NO regular door. Our cats may visit you without your permission... Uh, sorry in advance.
If you're a family of three (two adults and one kid, or one adult and two kids) and you don't mind sleeping all three of you in the same bed, or in the couch bed on the first floor only when it's available, you may be able to stay at our house depending on the length of your stay and our schedule etc. with additional costs. Please ask us for more details.
Please read our house rules carefully before your inquiry or booking. We have a right to choose our house guests.

Our 3 indoor cats are very friendly and playful though they tend to keep their distance till they get to know you better. If you're a cat lover, your stay will be awesome. Even if you aren't a big fun of cats, you'll enjoy staying at our comfortable clean house. We are trying to keep our house as clean as possible. We usually vacuum all floors on Sunday.
We enjoy getting to know our guests, but we respect your privacy and vacation time, so we and our cats will try not to bug you while you're staying with us. However, please feel free to ask us any questions/requests/concerns. We're happy to help you as much as we can, but (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) usually knows things better than us.
Our check-in time is between 3-8 pm and check-out time is between 7-10 am. Early check-in or late check-out may be available with a small fee depending on our schedules and other guests. Please let us know your check-in time or your flight information at your earliest convenience. If you don't provide us with this information 2 days (48 hours) prior to check-in, we may not be available to let you in due to our busy schedules.
Airport pick-up/drop-off may be available with an additional charge depending on our schedules.
Thank you very much for being interested in our house. Once again, please read everything on our listing page on AirBnB carefully before booking and understand this is how we live.

2– NO FOOD/DRINKS including candies and gums are allowed in the guest rooms except water bottles to avoid any damages and bugs, and also we'd like to avoid charging you cleaning fee. Enjoy your yummies at the bar or dining area. Leave your food/drinks on the first floor.
3– We highly value power of communication. Let us know if there is any requests, questions, concerns and/or when you change your plans etc. Also, thanks for not helping yourself using/consuming our stuff. Please always ask us first.
4– NO visitors allowed inside our house. Thanks.
5– Absolutely NO SMOKING of any kind, littering, or partying. Quiet solo dancing is allowed.
6– CONSERVING resources is what we can do to our earth. Unplug devices, turn off lights/water when leaving your room/when not in use. Thank you.
7– CLOSE all the windows and doors when leaving our house and at night. Otherwise, rain and/or strangers may get in easily. It rains often while you're sleeping.
8– QUIET TIME is between 10 pm - 7 am everyday. Kitchen closes at 10 pm. Well, making a cup of tea is fine. Please note that we work at home, so you may hear typing noise etc after 11 pm though we try to be super quiet.
9– Turn the VENT ON while using stove and taking a shower to let smoke/moisture out. The sound of the fire alarm is super unpleasant to our cats and us. "Fire! Fire!" in a female voice.
10– The front door will be LOCKED after 11 pm so that every creature in our house can have a peaceful night. Please let us know in advance if you have a special arrangement so that we're all on the same page, but we appreciate our guests to come back by 11 pm.
11– NEVER let our cats out, so please be careful when opening front/back doors. Don't leave the front door open while you wear shoes etc. They are our precious. Also, don't feed them anything please. They're on a strict diet.
13– Thanks for being respectful guests. This is how we live here. :)
Hey. If you made it this far (meaning, you read and understand every single sentence including Guest Access, Interaction with Guests, Other Things to Note, and House Rules) write "purple penguin" at the top of the FIRST AirBnB message you send us. Thanks.

Ryan, Moca, and three adopted cats are living together in SE Portland since July 2012. Solar system was installed in March 2014. Ryan works a lot as a graphic designer/programmer (working at home office) and math/Photoshop tutor. Moca is the CFO of the household who is originally from Japan. :) Ryan and Moca now enjoy raising their first son who was born in September 2015.
We both love pasta, Ramen, dim sum and seafood. Ryan loves music and he has tons of digital music files in his computer as well as some records. We're truly in love with our former foster kittens. (They're not kittens anymore. Just young at heart.)
We're trying our best to maintain our house clean/neat although we have three cats & a baby. Our secret is to spend a few minutes every day to clean.
