This historic luxury property was the residence of Haim Bar-Lev, Israel's chief of staff between 1968-71.
The apt is now totally renovated (may 2016) as a luxury property with every possible treat: Central AC, Underfloor Heating, Home Theater, Stereo System with 6 speakers, Master bedroom with private bathroom, Backyard and front yard.
Located 5 minutes walking to Emek Refaim Street, an avenue lined with trendy shops, restaurants and cafes.

It is our goal to provide our guests with the experience that they are looking forward to help guests who have questions or need advice regarding their trip.
Many guests prefer to be left alone. We make sure to respect all guests' privacy.
We will not come knocking on your door unless something is very urgent. Any maintenance that is needed will be pre-arranged 12 hours ahead of time.
We try to greet all guests personally. Sometimes this is not possible.
In these cases other arrangements are made.
Guests should consider that we do not live on site.

Le quartier

Located in a quiet street in Old Katamon near Emek Refaim St. and the famous German Colony neighborhood in Jerusalem. It is walking distance from the old city, historical land marks, shopping, theaters, cinema, swimming pool and much more.

Transports

Our unit is centrally located walking distance from many Historical sites and the Old city. In addition there is a bus stop across the street with buses to the central bus station, downtown, the mall and more.

Autres remarques

There is a friendly cat name Ginger (belong to our neighbors next door), that might visit the front/back yard of our house.
If you don't want him to visit you can show him the way out and he will go back to his house, if you like cats, you can enjoy his presence.
In any case he is not aloud to enter our house, only at front/back yard.

We reserve the right to cancel any reservations starting on Friday evening/Saturday or Jewish Holidays made without our prior consent.

Prices do not include VAT. Tourists are exempt from this tax upon presentation of passport. Israelis will have to add the amount (18%) upon arrival.

Well ahead of your visit, please let us know your anticipated arrival time. Let us know of changes immediately.
Refer to your confirmation email for the actual check-in and check-out times. We do our best to accommodate special requests but will neither chase out a visitor early nor allow a visitor into a dirty apartment.

With high demand for our apartment, we need help cleaning it and therefore require a cleaning fee.
This cleaning fee helps us keep our daily rates reasonable.
Whether you stay here one night or for an entire week, the cleaning fee remains the same.

We provide our guests with a smoke-free atmosphere.
Third-hand smoke is a type of damage.
Opening the windows does not help. Please respect this and do not smoke in the apartment, only in the Backyard or front porch.

Pets are not allowed. Some of our guests suffer from pet-allergies and we assure them that pets have not been in the apartment. Introducing pet danger into an apartment is a type of damage.

Parties are not allowed. We do make exceptions for very small parties but only with advance notice.
You must have our consent in writing.
Our guests always notify us of damage and are, of course, more than willing to pay for the repairs.

Please help us make this endeavor worth our while by helping it stay profitable. Please turn off all electricity, lighting and other appliances when not in the apartment. Thank you!

Joseph was very prompt with responding to my inquiries. The space was accurately portrayed and we stayed in a spacious house. His assistant Maayan was there to greet us and show us around. It was a very pleasant stay and Joseph was a pleasure to deal with.

This is a large apparent in a nice neighbourhood. However the apartment is very worn and old and has not been renovated. The price is low but the place does lack a working stove/cooker or fridge so it felt like camping out a bit. We were also worried that the windows and sliding patio doors had lost their locking clasp. However the bedding and towels were clean. In short very basic accommodation at a low price.

Very nice and helpfull host. The communication was fast and simple. The appartment is really huge. Lots of space. The appartment will be renovated in 2 month. Although everything is quite old, its really charming and somehow old Jerusalem style. Very clean! Nice area! Thank you for hosting us! For us it was a good stay.

Joseph and Maayan helped us perfectly! Location is good though public transport is needed to go to the center. The apartment is old but very big, everything was clean. There were some minor problems with the toilet but got some free beers at a nice bar in return (Shem Tov, go there for the best Israëli beer!). Next time Jerusalem we will contact them again!
