À propos de ce logement
This architect designed apartment has happily been my home for over 10 years. It has nice view on the green spaces of the Common, high ceilings with original features and it is airy. My favourite? The serenity of the mezzanine space with views on the Common.
This apartment has a large living space with marble floor and a fully functional kitchen and can accommodate up to 6 people.
Our apartment offers very comfortable "home from home" feel in the green area of Clapham. The area is known for its open green spaces, multicultural events, festivals and easy access to Central London. There are 3 tube stops nearby, a wide selection of local restaurants, bars and cinema all within 10 minute walk.
The entire apartment is bright and sunny. In the bedroon youu are woken up by the sun while in the mezzanine room/reception room you can watch the sun going down with views on the Common. The terrace is large and can accommodate many people.
There a well equipped kitchen (I love cooking) with large fridge/freezer, gas oven and cooker, dishwasher. There is a breakfast bar and you can cook on the island with views on the Common while chatting to your friends/family.
There is also dining table for 6-8 people.
There is a double sofa bed that can comfortably accommodate 2 people.
Double bedroom with view to the garden, simple and very peaceful space, you can sometimes hear the birds singing. There is also en-suite bathroom/shower room.
This space is accessible from the living room. It has a full king size bed. It is not everyone cup of tea (my mum prefers the main bedroom) but we love it and so our regular guests. You can sit up there and listen music, day dreaming watching the Common, sleep or just hide away from every one!
Modern with bath/shower, and bidet.
A large terrace overlooking the Common and ideal for watching the sun setting.
The third is a double sofa bed in the living room just below the mezzanine space.
The apartment is neutrally decorated with marble floors throughout.

Regarding the area, Clapham is a safe residential area popular among professionals catering for all age groups . It has gained popularity over the years for hosting many events (music festivals, foodies festivals and fairs) throughout the summer. Abbeville Village and Clapham Old town, which are both a stone throw away, are full of eateries attracting both couples and families. There is also a cinema, shops, gyms and transport all within 7-8 minute walk from the apartment. Being in zone 2 everything is easily accessible, the West End, and places such as Covent Garden are 15 minutes by tube, while Chelsea 10 minutes bus ride. The apartment is just opposite a well known pub and hotel: Windmill On The Common, where you can find extra information on the area too, along with Wikipedia and TimeOut London.
We are on a first floor of a period building. There are about 25 steps.
No smoking in the apartment and no pets please. Only toilet paper in toilet to avoid blockage.

I am an Italian resident in UK for the past 15 years and in Clapham for the last 10 years. I work in software programming and I love living in London for the cultural events it has to offer. I listen to Jazz, watch modern dance and go to the cinema. My other main interest is running and I take advantage of numerous parks in South West London and of the running events. I cycle or run to work to keep fit and help congestion! I travel a lot and I like staying in 'home away from home' accommodation style and I am trying to recreate the same for my guests.
