The Stables itself is a traditional stone building with walls over 2ft thick and large slate flagstone floors.

It has recently been converted to a high standard providing three bedrooms, (two doubles and one twin) a large farmhouse kitchen dining room and a stunning lounge. (With large double sofa bed if required)

Two luxury bathrooms including the master bedroom an ensuite make it perfect for families and groups.

The Stables has a large private garden to the front but also has stable doors opening onto steps down into a sunny open garden area leading to the woods and streams beyond.

Dog are always welcome but a maximum of two are allowed in The Stables, please let us know in advance as there is an additional charge of £10 per dog per stay, this is to reflect the additional cleaning cost passed on by our cleaners. It is a requirement of booking that the lead guest provides :
The names of all guests (ages if under 18), home address, an email and mobile tel number
We need these details for our insurance and in case we need to get in touch with you on the day of arrival.
The lead guest (booker) is responsible for behaviour of all other guests in the group.


We really want all of our guests to feel at home in the cottages but there are a few basic rules to make everyone's stay more pleasurable and ours as hosts easier!

Please park only in designated spaces, as other areas can be slippery and we don't want you to get stuck.

Try to avoid treading mud through the cottage by removing muddy shoes in the entrance hall

Essentially leave the cottage clean and tidy as you found it, e.g please ensure all washing up is done and items replaced in the cupboards, furniture is back in the original position if you have moved it, used towels are left in the bathrooms, fridges are empty, work surfaces are clean and the BBQ's are clean and ready for the next guests.

We understand accidents happen but if you break anything let us know so we can replace it ready for the next guests.

Bag all of your rubbish and drop off at designated areas

No smoking or naked flames inside the cottages at anytime and please do not throw cigarette butts in the grounds, it may only look like one to you but they soon mount up and the grass isn't an ash tray.

We can't allow additional visitors or guests to the property other than those in the booking, this is to ensure we comply with fire and insurance regulations.

Please keep dogs on the lead at all times as we are surrounded by farms which often have livestock in the meadows and our chickens wander free range.

Please do not allow pets upstairs or on the sofas.

We want your children to have fun but please supervise them at all times, there are steep drops, deep water and all the hazards found on a working farm.

The legal bit....the booking guest is responsible for behaviour of all other guests and we reserve the right to recover any damages or additional cleaning costs via payment details held on Airbnb.


Notes for guests with Dogs.

We hope that your dog enjoys his break as much as you do. We have some rules specifically for your pets to ensure that the everyone has a safe and enjoyable break.

We would ask that you keep your dog on the ground floor and off of furniture. Please do not leave your pet unattended at any time in the cottage or gardens.

Wherever you are on the farm, fields, tracks or surrounding lanes please bag any dog mess and place in a tied off black bin bag or in the dog waste bin in the refuse area.

Please don’t just think, “I’ll kick some leaves over it”, “it’s not my garden someone else will do it” or “this field is just rough grass it doesn’t matter”. There’s nothing worse than standing is someone else’s dogs mess, its not fertiliser and unbagged it poses a health hazard to children playing or when we are carrying out maintenance such as strimming or mowing.

Dogs must be kept on the lead at all times (even just going to the car) whilst on the property regardless of how well behaved they are. Please be aware that there is a lake, some steep drops and often farm vehicles moving around. If your dogs need to run around off the lead to let off steam our local beaches are dog friendly and ideal for letting your pet run around.

We are surrounded by farms which often have livestock in the meadows, our chickens wander free range and some other guests just don’t like dogs. It is safer for your dog and a condition of our planning that all dogs have to be on the lead at all times so we must insist this is adhered to.

We are sorry if this all feels a bit draconian but we have to have one set of rules regardless of the dog or owner to ensure everyone has a fun and safe stay at the farm. If you feel you are unable to comply with any of this you will have to leave Sloeberry Farm.

Just stayed at The Stables for long weekend-absolutely gorgeous.Ideal place for accessing the local Pembrokeshire coastline -would definitely be recommending it to fellow dog walkers.

We found The Stables to be exactly as described. It was very clean and had everything that we needed for an enjoyable weekend. Although we didn't have the opportunity to meet Shaun in person, his communication was excellent with respect to directions, booking and use of the cottage, and he also sent a text during our stay to ensure that we had everything we needed. It was also a nice touch to have the heating on for us at our arrival. The accommodation is quite remote and you'll need to plan in use of a car to get to either a town, a beach, or an evening venue. We weren't able to book a taxi for the Saturday night which meant that there had to be a nominated driver as walking is not really an option. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and if we go back to this area of west Wales, we'd be more than happy to stay with Shaun again.

Stable cottage is amazing. It has everything you could need. The farm is great, wide open space, perfect for kids. This is one place I would highly recommend. We didn’t have much interaction with Shaun but it wasn’t needed as Shaun provided comprehensive information before arrival. He did greet us on arrival and told us to pop over if we needed anything.

Lovely cosy cottage not far from local beaches and points of interest. We enjoyed a boat trip at New Quay to see the dolphins- fab! And cardigan island park is amazing to see the seals! In the heart of it all, adventure and something new to discover everyday. Lovely base to come home to in the evenings and put your feet up!

Lovely cottage, well equipped and clean. Hosts helpful and friendly without being intrusive. Needed the car wherever we went as lanes too narrow/dangerous for pushchair and dogs.
