I have been involved with Cayman Islands tourism for the past 65 years. I have attended Cornell University summer vacation tourism courses; have assisted the Government with the establishment of a Hotel Training School. I worked in hotels in their front office environments; managed condominium complexes and opened condo complexes for Brian Butler, a prominent developer in Cayman.
I then started my own B&B establishment at our house on Andrew Drive in Snug Harbour. I am honoured to have received a Queen's birthday award for "Services to the Tourism Industry".
I am passionate about my membership to the Business and Professional Women's Club of Grand Cayman as a founding member 40 years ago and still a continuing member. Have been a past chairperson of the Cayman Islands Drug Council and past Chair of a Labour Relations Board.
I believe in the saying 'Women helping Women' and especially young Caymanian women getting themselves established and educated to meet the challenges of entering today's workplace environment and being able to further themselves educationally and professionally in a highly competitive employment environment.
I truly love all things Caymanian and am proud to a born Caymanian. I have excellent inter-personnel relationship skills and know how to make our visitors feel truly welcome and wanting to return year after year after year.
So I take this opportunity to welcome all persons wishing to book space at Annie's Place B&B, you are truly welcome to stay and visit us when space is available.
