The best of old and new in our Georgian home in the nice residential Trinity/Newhaven area of Edinburgh. A bright room and double bed in the period part of the house, offering great accommodation for short stays. A good breakfast will be available.
Our house is a great mix of old and new. It has the period features of a Georgian house combined with a modern extension. The house gets lots of light and as the house is set back from the quiet street the house is really quiet and relaxing.
The double bedroom has the period features of the Georgian part of the house including high ceilings, solid wooden doors and sash windows. The room comes equipped with wardrobe, full-length mirror, desk and bedside tables. It's bright and airy and gets the best of the morning light.
The kitchen and living room are in the modern part of the house. This is where breakfast will be laid out for you every morning. The large kitchen, with dining space, is fully-stocked with utensils and store cupboard essentials which you are very welcome to use. The living room has Virgin TV, Spotify and a playstation. It also has a log burning stove for colder nights (hopefully not in the Scottish summer).
The bathroom is small but has everything you need with a hot shower over the bath. There is a second toilet off the utility back in the main part of the house.
Outside, the front of our house is a real sun-trap and there is a patio table and chairs your are welcome to use, should the sun choose to shine.

Nathan and I both work full time so we'll be around here and there but you will also have your own privacy. We'll be sure to welcome you on arrival, or make arrangements for that & have leave a welcome pack available for you.
We love the city we've lived in now for over ten years so we'd be happy to make recommendations of our favourite places to eat and drink locally and in town and some of the less touristy things to do (as well as which of the touristy things are worth doing).
We don't add on any extras for cleaning or security deposits so the price you see is all we charge, including a good breakfast.
We are biased but we think Edinburgh is a great place to visit any time of the year. In August, when the International Festival and Edinburgh Fringe Festival are on the city is one of the best places in the world to be!
You are welcome to use our safe, off-street car parking space on our drive if you will have a car with you during your stay. A lot of Edinburgh is permit parking only so hopefully this will come in useful.
The drive and front garden is shared with our upstairs neighbours.
Our dog, Bridie, shares our home with us. She's a two year old English Springer Spaniel. She's actually pretty relaxed for a Springer and is a very friendly and good natured dog. She has no access to the bedrooms so there are some dog-free areas of our home.
We are a pretty laid back couple and would want you to feel at home in our home. All we ask is that you respect our home and belongings and be respectful of the neighbours (and us) if coming home late. Coming in late is no problem - you are on holiday!
There are a couple of gates in the house and garden which we'd ask you to close behind you to keep Bridie where she should be (and out of where she shouldn't).
We're non-smokers but if you wanted to smoke outside that's ok with us.
