I live in the house close to the apartment and I am available simply by coming over to see me or reaching me by using the complimentary apartment cellular phone. I am also available to suggest where to go or eat and will even accompany you on request and if I am available to join you to take you local spots
Staying in the heart of San Nicolas, will give you an authentic local experience, if that is what you are interested in, instead of a resort experience. My apartment usually attracts travelers, not tourists. I have lived for 35 years, combined in Toronto and New York and worked as an educator and successful performing artist, so hosting and entertaining come naturally to me. I love to share stories and get to know my guests if the feeling is mutual. I also value your privacy, but I am there should you need me. I love what I do and I have been named Super Host 7 times, that is 99% of the time, since I have been hosting, within a span of only three years. So yes, I am pleased and I am always trying to improve my self as a host. There is nothing that pleases me more than to see my guest happy.
I would like my guests to treat my place with the same care and attention I have put into it and to have good communication with each other. Leave the apartment the way you found it, with everything in tact. The biggest house rule: Have fun and relax

I am an Aruban born Canadian, so Aruban by nature and Canadian by nurture. Have lived and worked in Toronto and New York, as a performing artist and an educator, combined for over 30 years, gives me a good idea what experiences guests long for. Nowadays a lot of people want an authentic experience when they travel abroad and connect with the local people and its culture in its own environment. And in this way building life long meaningful relationships and repeat visits.

As a guest i would be respectful and find out what the "protocol" is in your home. what is expected and stick to the arrangement. i would like to get to know my host as a person and also to get tips on where to go, to eat etc. I would let my host know when to expect me back and call if i am going to be late if I am sharing a house.
As a host I would do all of the above and do my best to make it a wonderful experience. i would invite my guests for a welcome drink, coffee or a meal. I would make sure everything was clean and in working order.
My motto for life is: when the going gets tough, the tough get going.
I prefer to look at my glass as half full rather than half empty.
