Victorian charm with modern amenities! Third floor apartment in an owner-occupied Queen Anne residence nestled in the Tulpehocken Station Historic District. This private unit features two large bedrooms, two full baths, eat-in-kitchen, spacious living room and a laundry room. With just over 1,200 SqFt of space and 19 windows, this is not your typical apartment!

Enter into the oversized living room that opens to the eat-in-kitchen. This room comfortably seats 5 and features a 50" flat screen TV, and multiple bookshelves filled with a variety of books! The kitchen includes a breakfast bar, custom cherry cabinets, granite countertops, glass tile backsplash, stainless steel appliances and built-in pantry. The master bedroom boasts a queen-sized bed, bay windows with built-in bookshelves, ample closet space, and master bathroom. The quiet 2nd bedroom is tucked away in the rear of the unit and features a queen-sized bed and large closet. Both bathrooms contain ceramic tile floors/walls with Kohler tubs and fixtures. In-unit washer/dryer. Hunter ceiling fans and Shaw carpeting in the bedrooms and living room.

Our location on Wayne Ave makes it super easy to get to Center City, with the SEPTA/Tulpehocken Station (Chestnut Hill West Line) directly across the street. The SEPTA bus stop is right on the corner. This convenient West Germantown location is on the Mt. Airy border, two blocks from Lincoln Drive offering easy access to I-76, Route 1, City Ave and Kelly Drive. Close to Chestnut Hill, Manayunk and East Falls, and within walking distance to Fairmount / Wissahickon park trails.

Towels will be provided. Hair dryers are available, and the kitchen is stocked with cooking essentials. We aim to make your stay as comfortable as possible!

This listing is for full access to the 3rd floor apartment which is accessible from the front of the house via the side entrance. No exterior space is included. Please note that the property is not handicap accessible. There are a total of three flights of stairs to reach the unit, one half flight from the public sidewalk up to the property's front walk, another half flight from the front walk to the front exterior entrance and two interior flight of stairs.

Autres remarques

The property is located on the corner of Wayne Ave and W Tulpehocken Streets. There is ample street parking available; the front steps to the property are right on the corner.

The inside of the residence was fully renovated in 2011. Exterior renovations are ongoing.

OCCUPANCY: Maximum of 4 individuals. Guests must be mature individuals over the age of 25 who will respect both the house as well as the neighbors/community. NO additional guests or visitors without advance approval AND written confirmation from the host. Under absolutely no circumstance will additional overnight guests be permitted.

SMOKING: No smoking is allowed at all inside the residence. Smokers may do so outside of the home. If you or your guests smoke in the apartment or common hallways you will incur a 300 fee for a full professional cleaning/de-smoking and a claim will be made against your security deposit to cover the cost.

NOISE: This is a quiet residence; we ask that there should be no loud music, shouting, parties, or gatherings either inside nor outside the house. If it can be heard through the floor, or outside of the house, it's an issue--noise carries more than you think, especially in an older home like ours. Please respect the neighbors. Again, no parties allowed.

CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT: Check-out time is at 11:00AM. There is little flexibility with the check-out time as we have a very short window to clean the unit for the next guest. Check-in time is after 2:00PM.

PETS: No pets are permitted on the property or in the residence at any time during your stay.

LAUNDRY: Please place all used towels in the hampers during your stay and upon departure. Hampers are located in the laundry room and in the 2nd bathroom

TOILETRIES: Travel size toiletries are provided as a courtesy. Please discard whatever you use and leave unopened/unused toiletries for the next guest.

PARKING: Guests are agreeable that this rental unit does not have a dedicated parking space nor driveway access. There is ample street parking.

TELEVISION: Verizon FiOS/Cable TV is provided including premium channels. Guests agree that they are responsible for any “Pay Per View" fees for movies that they choose to view or rent.

CLEAN PREMISES: The furniture, mattresses, sheets, towels and kitchen items were purchased new in August 2015. We understand that accidents happen but please take care to keep everything in the same condition that you found it. Should a spillage occur during your stay, please notify Gerald right away so that the stain can be removed immediately.

FOOD/COOKING: Please consume all food and snacks in the kitchen only. Please do not eat in the living room or in the bedrooms. Beverages can be brought to other rooms of the apartment provided you use a coaster. The cooking of fried foods and fish is NOT PERMITTED. No exceptions. We are sorry to impose this rule, but it is impossible to rid the apartment of these cooking smells in time for the next guest's arrival. Also, we supply a Keurig coffee maker along with a small sampling of K-Cups. Feel free to bring your own K-Cups.

SECURITY: Please be sure to lock the exterior front door upon entering and leaving the residence. The door does not lock automatically.

Il s'agit du plus bel appartement que j'ai habité avec Airbnb. Tout était parfait! Je ne vois pas ce que j'aurais pu demandr de plus. À titre de conseil pour les prochains voyageurs, si vous désirez vous rendre au centre-ville de Philadelphia, vous n'avez qu'à prendre le train de l'autre coté de la rue sans même prendre le métro. Gerald's place is spacious, homely and comfortable. It's nicely furnished and all around well appointed. The train station is very close, its a great alternative to driving, especially for going downtown.

I cannot say enough good things about Gerald's place! It is recently renovated, very clean and very spacious (the two bedrooms with respective baths are on opposite sides of the space). All the amenities you could ask for, and then some. The house is on a quiet, safe street DIRECTLY across from the Tulpehocken Regional Rail stop. Our family used this to get to the Eagles game on Sunday with ease. The place is also minutes from Manayunk and pretty much anything in the NW Philly area. Gerald is quick to answer any questions. Can't beat the value and convenience of his place. Will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to the city of Brotherly Love!

Loved loved our stay at Gerald's place. The apartment was immaculate, the touches were outstanding, the location perfect, quiet/safe, and better than what I expected. I will be planning more return trips!

Prepare to be impressed. Gerald's Airbnb is first class all the way. Clean, roomy, and well appointed. No detail was left out. Juice, milk, waters in the fridge. Plenty of coffee for the Keurig. Very nice bedding and towels. I scored big points with the family on this lodging choice. Thanks, Gerald

An IT Professional since 1996, I previously worked in New York City until moving to Philadelphia in 2005. My avid interest in historic architecture and old mansions of the area prompted a desire to restore and move to an old Victorian home in the Tulpehocken Station Historic District in 2010.
