Calli and Greg made us feel very welcome. They had arranged for a friend to be there for a key exchange, and he was ever so friendly and helpful, and Calli wrote to me whilst we were there to check whether we were fine and enjoying ourselves. They had left a few things in the fridge for us, and also had a farewell gift for us. So kind! The apartment is an approx. 45m2 (+ balcony) 1 bedroom place situated at the far end of Seapoint across from the public pool. It has all you need, incl. wifi, washer, and dish washer. There are a few supermarkets nearby on Main (Woolworths etc.). The views from the flat are lovely - and what you are paying extra for. During school holidays you have to stand in line for an hour to get in the pool across the street, but we managed a few dips December 23/24 when it was quiet. That was lovely. The neighbourhood is safe and good for families with small kids (there's playgrounds on the pier walk) and it's very laid back and down to earth. Quite a change from the touristy hustle and bustle of Waterfront and midtown. From Seapoint you can easily travel around or out of town. A taxi to waterfront is about a 10 min. drive (45 Rand), but you can also get bus cards nearby. If you're driving, there is a parking space under the flat. For tennis, you can go to Greenpoint tennis club. I got a booking with a good coach (Carmen) with a few day's notice. Being on a main road in a big city there is some noise from the road, but it didn't bother us.
