À propos de ce logement
This second story apartment feels deep in the trees yet it's in downtown Rosendale. Relax on the large, covered deck and soak in the beauty of the creek from almost every window. Light filled and comfortable. Come put your feet up.
This spacious yet cozy Rosendale retreat is an ideal location to relax and be inspired. Located at the end of a side street off Main Street, where the road T’s into a magnificent creek, this place has the feel of being tucked deep in the country, and also the convenience of being only a few minutes walk from downtown.
The two-bedroom apartment is the whole upper half of an old, remodeled Victorian, with two large bay windows, abundant light, a large, covered, creek-side deck, a slate-tiled, fully equipped kitchen with gas stove, extensive cookware, and large picture window over-looking the adjacent Rondout Creek. One bathroom with tub. There is one queen-sized bed, and a very comfortable (real mattress) full-sized futon in the second bedroom/ office.
Less than two hours north of New York City, Rosendale is a happening and progressive town. The bus stop to/from the city is a ten-minute walk from the house, so no car needed.
All within short walking distance: The Rosendale Cafe, The Big Cheese, 1850's House, Red Brick Tavern, Market Market, The Rosendale Theatre, (great, independent films for $6), community acupuncture, massage, pilates, yoga, library, post office, laundromat, liquor store, pizza, small grocery store, the historic Rail Trail (hiking, and biking), a gorgeous creek, walking trails...
Transportation: While having a car will make it easier to see more of the Hudson Valley, it is not necessary to enjoy your stay here. There is a bus that travels regularly to some of the neighboring towns like Kingston and New Paltz.

Échanges avec les voyageurs
I will check you in and be on my way. I'm available by phone if you need anything.
I generally keep my kitchen stocked with spices, oils, vinegars, sugar, flour, and other basics; you are welcome to use these items.
Your parking spot is on the creek-side of the apartment. Please park on a diagonal with nose pointing toward creek, aligned with neighbor's car(s).
Winter Note: On snowy days, street front parking is not permitted, nor is parking at the end of the dead-end. (Plow runs straight back to the creek.) Cars parked there during inclement weather may get towed. There is municipal parking behind The Big Cheese just up the street if your party has more than one car during inclement winter weather.

I am a writer, writing mentor, and yoga teacher. I love to hike and be outdoors, spend time with good friends, cook and eat delicious food.
I spent many years traveling and living in Latin America, have lived out west, and surprised myself when I returned home to the Hudson Valley and now can't imagine leaving. I'm smitten, here; fell in love with the seasons, the landscape, the art and creativity, the great people.
