A truly magnificent location in the heart of Seattle. Close to downtown and only STEPS away from one of the world's most gorgeous parks!

WELCOME TO SEATTLE!!!
I'm a professional jazz singer, music teacher and language lover (fluent in French, dabble in several others) who truly enjoys hosting and entertaining people from around the world!
My lovely home in Seattle's Magnolia neighborhood is just minutes from downtown Seattle. It also adjoins such hip, thriving neighborhoods as Queen Anne (Seattle Center, Space Needle), historic Ballard (Hiram Chittenden Locks, Golden Gardens), artsy Fremont (go meet the Bridge Troll!), and nightlife-studded Belltown. The International District, Wallingford, eclectic Capitol Hill, and the University District are also easily accessible by car or bus.
The house boasts a wood-burning brick fireplace for evenings in, lots of greenery just outside the door, and is absolutely bursting with charm and personality! It lies just a few blocks from posh Metropolitan Market, which stocks every delicious thing you could ever crave. It's also right on a major bus line that goes directly downtown for a no-hassle, no-parking visit to Seattle Center, Pike Place Market, the waterfront, the downtown shopping district, and more.
Quaint Magnolia Village - with several restaurant, café, and shopping options - is also within walking distance (or a super-quick drive), and the natural beauty at the outskirts of this "island" neighborhood is unmatched anywhere in Seattle. A stroll along Magnolia Boulevard (just 3 blocks from the house) offers truly stunning panoramic views of the Puget Sound, Bainbridge & Vashon Islands, and the Olympic mountain range to the west, and the Seattle skyline to the south.
... But this house's BEST feature is that it's literally just across the street from a true Seattle gem: the incredibly scenic and diverse Discovery Park. This park encompasses every facet of the stunning natural beauty that makes the Pacific Northwest such a popular tourist destination, and is worth a trip to Seattle all on its own!
Some of Discovery Park's most beloved features include:
* A beautifully restored lighthouse at West Point
* Long, sandy beaches & tide pools
* Amazing hiking & nature trails
* Woods, meadows, and breathtaking bluffs
* Panoramic views of the Puget Sound
* The historic military district of Ft. Lawton
* Tennis & basketball courts at the Visitor Center
* Children's playground (with swings & a mini zip line)
* The famous Daybreak Star Indian Cultural Center
It's a simply magical place where you can watch the sun set behind the majestic Olympic Mountain range; take a brief hike down to Puget Sound tide pools; and, in some places, even stroll through a dense forest to the soundtrack of seagulls and seals. There is always something new to discover at this park - even for me, after having it in my "front yard" for over 5 years!
YOUR ACCOMMODATIONS WILL INCLUDE:
* Two separate bedrooms with a queen-size bed in each (sleeps up to 4)
* A large, comfortable couch in living room (upon request - requires extra sheets)
* Private bathroom with tub and shower, bath products, hair dryer, towels, etc.
* A fully-stocked kitchen & dining area
* Free Wi-Fi access (password provided upon arrival)
* Weekly washer/dryer access for long-term guests
I love meeting people from every corner of the globe and from all walks of life, and can't wait to share this home and incredible city with you.
Accès des voyageurs
Guests who rent the main part of the house will have access to all designated areas (2 bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, dining area, living room and laundry area). This is the "entire house/apt" in that it's comprised of the main entrance and all main areas of the house... All you need for a comfortable, independent stay!
PLEASE NOTE: There is a separate, occupied third bedroom / independent unit with its own entrance, bathroom & kitchenette. It is not accessible to guests who are renting the main house and two main bedrooms, and is generally occupied by myself or another renter.
Closets and storage areas will be partially available; we can discuss your storage needs upon booking.
Échanges avec les voyageurs
While renting the entire house, I usually travel, but I'm always available via phone or email for any questions or concerns.
There is abundant, free street parking on all sides of the house and in front of the park.
Quiet hours are between 11pm and 8am on weekdays, and after midnight on weekends (unless otherwise specified), unless renting the entire house. Please notify me of any special requests in exception to this and I will try to accommodate you.
No smoking is permitted within the perimeter of the main house. (There is a lovely park just across the street, and the house is situated in a very walk-able neighborhood.)
