Aigburth Villa is situated at 3,000 ft above sea level in the cool hills of Rakwana, Suriyakanda surrounded by vistas of the Udawalawe Valley on one side and bounded by the world heritage, Man & Biosphere reserve Sinharaja rainforest.
The whole Villa can accommodate a total of 14 adults with a few Children who can be comfortably accommodated based on the bed composition. There are 2 large bedrooms which have two queen sized beds in each whilst 1 smaller bedroom has 2 (twin) single beds. The largest of the rooms (Studio Bedroom) has a double bed in one room and a connecting room has 2 single beds. All rooms are with attached private bathrooms. The large lounge overlooking the famous Buluthota Pass, is ideal for relaxing and enjoying the quiet and tranquility of the area. During the day one can take a plunge in the swimming pool, which is filled by the natural springs of the Sinharaja rain forest.
Aigburth Villa offers you unparallel service and quality of life with the help of it’s ample and smiling staff who pride themselves in ensuring that, once visited you will keep coming back.
All Bed & Bath linen are provided by Aigburth whilst also stocking your baths with little basic toiletries which one might forget to bring along.
Aigburth provides you with premium high quality Tea and a mouth watering “Extra’s Menu” from which you may order delicious tidbits for any time of the day.
A sumptuous BBQ can be prepared on request under starlight, marinated and poached with skill and genuine effort making it one of the best meals you could have at the Villa.
Indoor games in numerous forms and outdoor gaming equipment such as Footballs, Rugby balls, Cricket, Badminton and Tennis are all provided by the bungalow.
Laundry services, Local guides, and local 4WD vehicles can be called up for a nominal fee if one would require it.
A well thought of “Standard Menu” helps you to indulge without the worry of bringing in your provisions.
Suriyakanda where Aigburth is located, sits facing the famous Bulutota Pass, with the A17 Highway beginning in Galle winding it’s way up the Deniyaya hills and reaching Suriyakanda from the south, and the A4 highway taking you from the west up the hills of Rakwana to reach Suriyakanda.

The Sinharaja Man & Biosphere Reserve with it’s luscious rainforest borders the Aigburth Estate.
Declared by UNESCO as a world heritage site the reserve holds 20 of the 26 endemic species of birds and a variety of other flora and fauna found nowhere else in the world. The reserve extends 21 km from east to west and 7 km from north to south and has three access points one of which is 6 km from the bungalow called Morningside.
Wavulpane Caves an archeological site where approximately (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)ts have made their home. The caves are accessible via Kolonne which is in close proximity to Aigburth Bungalow.
Maduwanwela Walauwa built in the 18th century and home to six generations of the Maduwanwala family is an aristocratic masterpiece with archeological value and a place worth visiting whilst holidaying at Aigburth Bungalow.
Uda Walawe National Park and the adjoining Uda Walawe Elephant transit home are two places which cannot be missed. The park itself has one of the highest concentrations of resident elephants in Sri Lanka and lies surrounding the beautiful Udawalawe Reservoir. Pay a visit to the Elephant transit camp where orphaned elephants are rehabilitated and released back into the wild

We are just a telephone call away whilst the Bungalow / Villa is staffed by a Supervisor, a Cook, and an Assistant who will serve you and help you right through out your stay.
Meals can be ordered off the menu.
Breakfast - USD 10 per Adult (Half rate for Children between 4-12y)
Lunch - USD 15 per Adult (Half rate for Children between 4-12y)
Dinner - USD 15 per Adult (Half rate for Children between 4-12y)
The Nightly price quoted is for a Double (2 Pax) and Room Only basis (excluding meals). A Single would also be the same rate as a Double.
Each additional pax is USD 62/- as 3 Rooms can be used even as a Quadruple whilst 1 room is a Twin.
Children 3 & under are FOC and Children between 4-12 will be charged half rate on only the meal costs. Children above 12 are considered at Adult rate for accommodation & meals
No Pets allowed. Smoking is allowed in the garden areas and outside.
As long as a guest does not disturb another guest or invade his privacy there are no specific rules to be followed.
