Bright, authentic hard loft in charming Corktown. 10 minute walk to the Distillery District, 10 minute streetcar ride from the Eaton Centre, Dundas Square, and Downtown. One parking space included.
Every wanted to stay in an authentic loft? This beautiful old building (almost 100 years old!) has been converted into lofts. The large factory windows are still intact, along with 14ft ceilings, exposed brick and beams. Walking distance to restaurants, shops, the Distillery District, and very close to King and Queen streetcar stops. One parking space included. Just minutes from main highways of the Don Valley Parkway and Gardiner Expressway. 10 minutes to the downtown core via the Streetcar.
Accès des voyageurs
You will have the entire loft to yourself. Since I am usually only opening up my space when I am away travelling myself, a family member or friend will let you in and give you the keys and a brief orientation, and will meet you when you are ready to check out.
Échanges avec les voyageurs
I will be available by email or phone during your stay.
A local family member or friend will also be available by phone if you have any questions.
A dog normally lives here but won't be present when you book this airbnb (she stays with my family during a booking).
The sleeping area is an actual loft, accessed by a ladder, so if you're not comfortable with ladders or heights this may not be a suitable place for you.
Being an old building, it runs on steam heat. In the winter months (late Oct-March) this can mean the pipes in the loft make some noise. Generally it is not too noisy once the system is on but please be aware that the pipes do make noise at this time.
No smoking inside - you can access the patio on the main floor for a place to smoke.
Please respect other residents in the building and keep noise levels reasonable.
Please remove your shoes while in the loft.
No food in the sleeping area.
Internet is free, but is not on an unlimited plan so please don't go download crazy or extra charges may apply (recommended usage is max 5-10GB per day).
I'm a filmmaker and photographer based out of Toronto. I'm still new-ish to Airbnb and think it's the greatest thing ever! I often have to travel out of town for shoots or film festivals and love the idea of sharing my space with other travellers in need of good accommodation. And I love getting to stay with and know a local instead of staying in a more corporate hotel when I travel.
I also love good food, friends, art, theatre, snowboarding and surfing.
Places I've been: South Korea, all over Canada (BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec...still need to go to the East Coast, Nunavut and Yukon!), the US (New York, California, Washington State, Pennsylvania, Kentucky), the UK, France, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, the Netherlands, Costa Rica, Mexico.
Places I want to go: Scandinavia (!), New Zealand, Iceland, Spain, Eastern Europe, Chile, Peru
