Description

The modern two bedroom apartment is located one block from the L line subway to Manhattan and is in the heart of Bushwick, a thriving neighborhood of arts and cultures.

The modern two bedroom apartment is located in Bushwick, Brooklyn. The spacious railroad style apartment is a great place to relax after sight-seeing, or working in the city.

Bushwick is an up and coming neighborhood. It is a mescla of industry, families new and old, young artists and entrepreneurs. The recent infusion of great food, venues, and shops is due to the convenience of the L train and economy of the area.

The apartment is conveniently located only two blocks from the Jefferson station on the L train. From here it takes about 15 minutes to the East Village in Manhattan, and is only 20 minutes from Union Square. The commute is quick and simple, also easily accessible to JFK and LGA.

The kitchen, as is the entire apartment, is newly renovated with clean and modern furnishings. Plus the bedrooms both come with extremely comfortable queen sized beds. Unlike most railroad apartments the bedrooms are completely separated and there is beautiful natural light through out. Besides the comfy beds there is plenty of closet space, a couch, dinning for four, a fully equipped kitchen, books to read, and even a scrabble board! Provided for you are fresh linens, towels, coffee and a few breakfast items.

Groceries:
The neighborhood features a 24-hour organic food market, Hana Natural Food (24 Wyckoff). For more mundane sundries, there is also a C Town supermarket up the hill (72 Wyckoff). Also, the corner grocery is great to pick up a few items--and is also open 24 hours a day.

Bars:
Pearl's Billy Club Bar is a casual, friendly bar only two blocks away (40 St. Nicholas Ave between Scott Ave & Troutman St). It features local brews and a photo booth and friendly regulars. In warm weather, the barkeeps open the front window.

For the adventurous, there is the Narrow Bar on 1037 Flushing. It has a minimal low-lit art-deco design and many inventive cocktails. It can be tricky to find, as the place does not have a sign outside.

Restaurants:
Northeast Kingdom around the corner and down the block (18 Wyckoff) has been praised as one of the best restaurants in Brooklyn, with inspired inventive dishes featuring organic and locally-procured ingredients. Except for the cheese plates, the menu is a bit light on veggie dishes. For carnivores, we'd recommend the burger, the BLT, or the short ribs.

A bit of a further of a walk away, there is Arancini Bros. (940 Flushing) which sells only Italian Rice Balls, perfect for lunch or as a light dinner. Another appetite-building walk away is Robertas (261 Moore St), a funky place in the warehouse district selling wood-fired pizza.

Coffee
The Wykoff Starr coffee shop (30 Wyckoff St) offers a fine range of coffees. And--so our neighbors have told us--the corner store sells a good cup of coffee.
