Description

Le logement

Ever had a dream? After chasing winters around the world this is ours: a tricked out lodge in the powder capital of the world. The seemingly endless powder was what brought us here and ultimately kept us here. We are called 'The Phat House' for a reason. With wicked views front and back, comfortable rooms, a bar and restaurant, a backyard jib park, and an unparalleled focus on service we simply are the Phattest accommodation in Hakuba, Japan. We strive to impart our passion for the pow on you and will do our utmost to make sure you leave having had a killer of a time!

Accès des voyageurs

ACCOMMODATION: From singles to groups we have a wide variety of accommodation options to suit all (website hidden)

BAR: There is no better way to finish a day on the mountain than with an apres. We have a fully stocked bar through the winter (Dec-Mar) to quench your thirst.

RESTAURANT: We serve snacks and meals at our onsite restaurant through the winter (Dec-Mar) so you never have to worry about going hungry.

FUN STUFF: We have a foosball and ping pong table so you can battle your mates to see who is buying the next round.

DRYING ROOM: A purpose built drying room means warm and dry gear when you put it on in the morning.

WORKBENCH: Whether you need to wax your skis or affix your bindings to your board we have all the tools for you to do so.

ENTERTAINMENT: We have a communal area decked out with a bunch of fun board games and decks of cards to play with your mates over a frothy one from the bar.

JIB PARK: Love snowboarding so much that a day on the slopes won’t suffice? We have a fun jib park in our backyard for you to get your shred on!

FIRE PIT: Who isn’t a fire bug? We have an outdoor fire pit that you can sit around and toast marshmallows, or simply get lost staring into the flames.

Échanges avec les voyageurs

With live-in owners and plenty of staff there is always someone around to help you in any way that you may need. From shuttling you to the mountain or pouring you a beer, we've got you covered.

Le quartier

Hakuba is a winter wonderland for snow enthusiasts. It boast an insane amount of seasonal snowfall which means plenty of powder! We are only minutes to the slopes so you’ll be deep in the pow in no time and we are centrally located in the Hakuba Valley making it easy to access any or all of the ski resorts (there are 10 in total).

Transports

SHUTTLES

Want first tracks? Yeh you do! We provide a range of shuttle services to most of the mountains in the Hakuba Valley. Shuttle services start early in the morning for those looking to get first tracks and regularly after that. The service resumes in the afternoon, picking you up to bring you back to The Phat House where you'll be just in time for Happy Hour or a warm shower, whatever you choose!

COMCAR

Having your own wheels can be a godsend. For a small daily fee our guests can put their names down on a blackboard to access a car in our ComCar pool. That means you can go to any mountain of your choosing and find new friends to ski/board with. Better yet, feel like going out to dinner? Well grab the keys and go for a burn. We cover the fuel, so all you have to worry about is staying between the lines.

PICKUP / DROPOFF

Got too much luggage? Don't know where you are going? Can't find a cab? Well don't worry about it. With prior notice of your arrival time, we can collect you from the bus terminal or train station in Hakuba. Better still, we are only 6 minutes from the train station, so you'll have your bags in your room and your feet up having a drink in no time at all. How easy is that!

DOWN DAYS

Tired Legs? Want to absorb some culture? Don't worry we have got you covered. We run regular trips to the Driving Range, Round 1 Amusement Centre, Go Karts, Matsumoto Castle and the Monkey Onsen. If you have something in mind let us know and we'll see if we can accommodate - if you don't ask you don't receive. Down Day activities are conditional on demand and pricing may vary depending on the activity.

Profil utilisateur de Cameron

Hi, I am Cameron, and I am an avid traveller, snowboarder and scuba diver. I have spent years wandering around the world from the wilds of Central America to the heterogeneous cultures of South America. I wormed my way across the sub-continent and got lost riding motorbikes around South-East Asia. I've lived and worked in America, Canada, India and Japan. And Japan is ultimately where I have decided to rest these wandering legs; at home in the endless powder of Hakuba. And after all these years trotting around the globe I gathered a good idea of what works and what doesn't. Hence why I decided to open up my very own lodging to provide skiers and snowboarders alike a holiday experience like no other. The Phat House is my pad, so please come along and say hi and see what all the fuss is about!
