Private home in East Hancock Historic Neighborhood, across from Houghton Michigan with beautiful views of the portage. Two blocks from downtown Hancock, within walking distance to portage, town of Hancock and town of Houghton and 5 minutes to Michigan Technological University (MTU). Quiet private neighborhood with access to park. Tennis courts nearby. A large patio with patio furniture is available as well as a screen in porch with dining table for guests who want to have breakfast outside the dining room.

All access except back garage and private quarters or other bedrooms that are reserved. Kitchen use is an additional daily fee of $13. If guests prefer, breakfast can be included for an additional $10 per person. Reservations over 1 night require housekeeping fees. Washer and Dryer access is included (detergents and softeners are up to the guest to provide). Laundry wash, dry and fold can be included for an extra $20 per bag; must notify in advance. There is also a large shared patio. Please remove shoes and leave them outside the kitchen or in the vestibule between the foyer and the front porch. Please do not eat in your room; there are plenty of private areas to have a quiet snack. No alcohol can be consumed on the premises. Please remove your things from the bathroom since it is shared.

Host will be on site in a limited capacity. Host will greet, and instruct house access and review usage and rules and periodically come and go. At the end of your stay at checkout guests will participate in a departure checklist and pay housekeeping fee upon departure. Please pay housekeeping fee in cash.
All original stained glass, fireplace, foyer tiles, wood work and doors. Hardwood floors throughout. Granite kitchen countertops, sub-zero drawer refrigerators, double oven, microwave, and cook top. Small island and walk in pantry. High ceilings, original fixtures and long victorian windows. This home is a unique experience.
Please contact me on my cell at least 2-4 hours prior to arrival. Prefer arrival by 6 pm.
Respect for antiques and fine furnishings. No smoking on premises. No pets. No cooking in the kitchen. Refrigerator access is permitted. No snacking in the common areas except dining room or kitchen, front porch table or patio. Please do not leave trash in your room; trash can is in the kitchen. We do sometimes have small surprises like just- baked cookies-so if you have any allergies please let us know. All rooms are photographed as well as the house prior to your stay. No alcohol consumption on the premises and NO parties.
