20/30 mins away
To the East ….
Blackwater Tubing also known as Stormsriver Tubing is the ultimate adventure that derives its name from the colour of the Storms river water. The ‘black water’ colour is casued by tannin leaching out of the plant matter much like tea. The Storms River water is palatable but its ph is too low to sustain any significant aquatic life resulting in a clear rocky river bed lined by palmiet grass and the majestic Tsitsikamma trees.
Tsitsikamma Canopy Tours – offering a unique eco-adventure which takes place high above the forest floor where you will be surrounded by spectacular scenery. Steel cables link a series of ten wooden platforms built high up in giant Outeniqua Yellowwood trees. Visitors are fully harnessed as they glide from tree to tree. The three hour guided tour gives visitors the opportunity to feel part of the forest, to learn about the ecology, the trees and the giant ferns.
To the West ….
Plettenberg Bay and all it has to offer, including Whale, Seal & Dolphin Watching Excursions. Sailing in the Bay of Plettenberg is an excellent option and Central Beach offers a wonderful venue for Hobie Cat sailing, Surfing and Wave Skiing.

Visitors will need a vehicle to get around and enjoy all that the area has to offer.

Situated in an Afromontane Forest biome, we are fortunate to have a mild maritime temperate climate – with moderate summers and mild winters. Any time of year is good for visiting us – for a peaceful retreat in a forested environment – but with easy access to the hustle and bustle of nearby Plett in holiday season.
On your doorstep is the start of a well maintained public trail that takes you through the forest across the Salt River and on to Natures Valley Beach.
Companions will be the myriad of bird species, including the Forest Buzzard, the Knysna Turaco (Loerie) and the elusive Narina Trogon … at night the magical call of the Nightjar and hoot of the Wood Owl and Cape Eagle Owl. Amongst others wildlife such as Vervet Monkeys, Bush Buck, and Bush Pig are frequent visitors and if you are lucky you may even site a Cape Otter!
Dreamscape provides a refuge for those in need of escape from stress and the madding crowd, a sanctuary for family holidays, a haven for birdwatchers, a peaceful retreat for writers and an inspirational space for artists.
For those who want to explore there are walks and hikes (some from our doorstep) and very close by are world renowned sanctuaries such as Monkeyland and Birds of Eden as well as The Crags Elephant Park and Tenikwa, where you can walk with the cheetahs.
For the energetic and adventurous, there is the legendary Otter Trail, Bungy Jumping from the world’s highest bungy jump site, Tsitsikamma Canopy Tours, Stormsriver Tubing and Africanyon for kloofing and abseiling.
There is also scope for horse riding, cycling, boating and surfing nearby and for the more genteel of sports, there is Polo – with some 13 polo fields in the area hosting tournaments from December to April. Polo is the 'raison d'être' of nearby Kurland Polo - just 6 kms from Dreamscape.
The area boasts 16 picturesque vineyards set at the base of the Tsitsikamma Mountains, on the edge of the indigenous forest, beckoning you to visit. Bramon Wine Estate, the estate that initiated the wine producing initiative in 2000 is a mere 10 minutes from Dreamscape.

There truly is something for everyone ….
