Leni and his lovely wife Ingrid have made me feel welcome in their apartment from the first contact. I liked the quiet and authentic little village of Porozina. If you like nature this place is excellent. Right on the check in night a couple deer ran past the house on the street. (!) I saw a deer sitting in a dried up river bed right into the eye on a walk into the forest, only 50 metres behind the last house of the village. The ferry to the island of Cres is landing 5 minutes walk from the house, so we went to the Summertime cafe on evenings for a drink, meeting the local hosts Lilli and Mario there. In the days we took the about 8 minute walk to the beach. Pebbles, clear water, fish, and not crowded. So refreshing in the hot July days we spent there. There is no shop in Porozina. Before 10 am a white truck waiting for the ferry sells bread, we learned. Before 7am a Fisherman sells fresh fish in the port. Otherwise a truck comes by, selling ice cream and vegetables, and we went to the city of Cres, 40 minutes drive or 26 km away, to buy all supplies we needed in the supermarket.
