Welcome to Our Home! I am JD Rathore, owner of Ikaki Niwas. My family and I look after this home and the guests who come to stay with us. My father, Dr. Thakur G S Rathore, constructed this house about 40 years ago and recently it was refurbished and renovated with comfortable beds, new LCD televisions, and modern baths. Our family belongs to the royal Rajpoot community, and prior to India‚ independence, our great grandfather was chieftain in the Bikaner state of Rajasthan. We are well-educated and we'll be happy to share and discuss what we know about India over a cup of coffee or at the dinner table.

What a relaxing and friendly place to stay. I loved Ikaki , JD, his family and team were so lovely and made me feel really welcome and at home.I was almost in tears when my week of adventure and chill came to an end. The food was delicious and the cookery demonstration was great.Thank you J&D. JD and his team are professional, caring and thoughtful. His darling wife was so kind , she is a natural hostess and made my stay a very happy experience.Anil, Bhawani and Dinesh all took care of me so well , making delicious Masala Chai , serving meals , servicing my room and organising bookings for drivers, restaurants etc.. Ram was the best driver in Jaipur , he stopped at all the best photo spots and was a great photographer. He had plenty of suggestions for places to go ,best times for entry and traffic etc.. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he was a genuine nice guy , it was good getting to know him and hear about his family.I felt 100% safe and happy on this trip and that was because the Ikaki team were so special! The accommodation was delightful and super clean , I loved coming home to this place after a day of sightseeing,Indian wedding party, painting /riding elephants ,shopping etc. Jaipur is amazing. Ikaki is at the end of a no- through road, it's very peaceful, overlooking a park. I was traveling on my own and I can honestly say I didn't feel lonely one bit.I spoke with my family on FaceTime in the evenings , great internet connection. JD was spot on at introducing guests to one and other and also knew to give them plenty of space too.He is a real gentleman , I told friends I had found the new Dev Patel. The weather was glorious, I awoke to the birdsong and beautiful blue sunny sky every morning feeling very lucky to have found this perfect place. I hope you have a wonderful stay here !!

Very good homestay the rooms were very clean and the bed comfortable. The host was very approachable and the staff were very friendly, the breakfast was good on a nice sun terrace. Maybe some mesh on windows to keep pigeon noise away would be helpful.Overall an excellent stay , highly recommended

My stay at Ikaki Niwas was an absolute delight! Devika ji and JD ji were warm and accommodating hosts. I was traveling alone and working on the road, and Ikaki Niwas helped me strike the balance to pull off my work/leisure trip. The internet speed is compliant at all times (I worked a night shift during my stay). The staff is polite and thoughtful. While Jaipur is renowned for its food, I reserved my meals at Ikaki; if you're craving homemade food, you're at the right place. And if you're lucky, do not miss Devika ji's halwa :) The neighbourhood was quiet, peaceful and most importantly safe. As a solo female traveler this was a very reassuring atmosphere. The other guests at Ikaki Niwas were also friendly and pleasant. Uber cabs are not more than three minutes away and the enterprise is fairly simple to locate. I've only fond memories of Ikaki Niwas, and have already recommended it to several friends.

Ikaki Niwas is a home away from home. Jaodeo is an excellent host and he made sure that our stay was comfortable and easy. As described, the place is exactly the same. It was a wonderful stay with pleasant ambience - located in the heart of the city. Overall, our experience couldn't have been better. Special thanks to Johny. Thanks :)

Our stay at Ikaki Nivas was exceptionally good. Truly a home away from home experience. I was visiting with my 3 year old daughter and my wife, and had specially requested for the room with the "king sized bed". We stayed here for 2 nights and were very impressed by the location (very quiet and convenient locality), superb hospitality offered by Jaideo's wife (who made some delicious cake for breakfast), Janardan (Manager) and the support staff. They were very cordial and friendly. We will definitely stay at his place again if we were to visit Jaipur and would unequivocally recommend fellow travelers to definitely stay at this place for the "Ikaki" (unique) experience :)

Our stay with JD was just lovely, he and his family are the nicest hosts one could expect, and we felt right at home. The space itself is wonderful, the food was enjoyable, but as is always the case, the wow comes from the hosting. Fond pranam to his parents too, for treating us and our baby with great kindness. We'll be back soon, I'm sure!

À propos de Jaideo

HI I am Jaideo Rathore, Ikaki Niwas is my home and I love to host people at my home. We are a family of five, my father who is a doctor, mother , my wife and our 6 months old baby. I like to treat my guests as my family and hence we are always there to assist our guests. For us safety and comfort of the guest is top priority and no compromises are made. I did work for GE earlier and now take care of the guests full time along with my wife. Though I do travel within India and to USA a lot for some free lance writing assignments but mostly i am here in Jaipur. My other hobby is to work at my organic farm near Jaipur so most of our vegetables that we cook for you are sourced from there. Our house "Ikaki Niwas" is situated very close to the city center and its very convenient for travelers to go for sightseeings or any business.
