Le logement

Located on the Strand Road, one of the most exclusive addresses in Portstewart, the property is a 1920's semi-detached house, within a few minutes walk of the beach, Portstewart Golf Course and the Promenade with its abundance of cafes, pubs, restaurants and shops. Close by are the many attractions of the North Antrim coast, including the Giants Causeway, Carrick-a-rede Rope Bridge, Dunluce Castle, Mussenden Temple and Bushmills Distillery to name but a few. This is also an ideal area for golf, walking, cycling, surfing and many other activities. Locally there are many attractions for children too, from soft play areas to leisure centres and amusement facilities if the weather does not behave.

This renovated house has 3 bedrooms, a living room and separate dining room, a fully equipped kitchen, main bathroom (equipped with free-standing bath and separate power shower), downstairs toilet. There is an external utility room to the rear of the house which contains a washer, and separate sink for clothes washing. 2 of the bedrooms are large doubles with king size beds. The third bedroom is smaller, with a single day bed which can be extended to become a king size double if required. To the front and rear of the house are two large gardens, the rear being fully enclosed and suitable for children. Additionally to the rear of the house is an enclosed, sheltered terrace area which is ideal for BBQ's weather permitting. Patio furniture and a charcoal BBQ are provided. The house has off-street parking for 4 cars. There is also free wireless internet, a PS2 games console with games, a blueray player and selection of DVDs, and library of books to keep everyone entertained no matter the weather.

The house is Managed by North Coast Property Management in Portstewart.
They will be the point of collection for the keys.
Typically I need at least 48 hrs to confirm a booking, and arrange key collection.
Minimum bookings of a week or more for North West 200 week, and July and August dates. In July and August changeover is on Saturdays only.

Conditions of hire - please read carefully

1: A booking deposit of £100.00 must be paid and received within 10 days of booking. IT IS FULLY REFUNDABLE and will be paid back onto the payment method recieved from once you have left property and it has been checked. In the case of cancellation however you lose this deposit and it is not refundable. It can however be transferred to a different date (subject to availability), provided that I am given sufficient notice in order to re-let the house.
2: The full balance of the house rental must be paid at least 10 days before key collection. Please note that this is in addition to the £100 deposit.
3: CANCELLATIONS must be notied to us immediately. If you are forced to cancel because of death, injury or illness of one ofthe party, or a close relative, and this can be substantiated, then the cancellation part of the booking deposit is returned and you are released from liability for the balance of the house rental charge. If the cancellation is not for any of the above stated reasons, and/or is received 4 weeks or less from the rental starting date, then the renter remains responsible for the whole balance of the rental house charge.
4: The person who has lled in their details and provided the £100 deposit is responsible for the property and contents during the rental period. He/she is also responsible for the clean condition of all utensils at the end of the hire and for taking all reasonable care of the property and its equipment.
5: The Contract: The contract takes effect when you receive your booking conrmation form. By accepting this you are conrming that you have read and accepted the terms and conditions. Should you make a booking with us on behalf of a third party, you will be held jointly responsible for the use of, as well as the total cost of, the services/products booked. The booking is made on the undertaking that the property is to be made available to the hirer on the date in question, unless the property agent/owner of the property is prevented from doing so by circumstances outside their control. In such cases the deposit will be returned to the hirer in full but the hirer shall have no claim on any account against the owner/property agent.
6. Groups of young people - e.g. on the Milk Cup or NW200 week, will only be admitted upon receipt of a £300 refundable deposit.
7: The properties can be occupied after 2.00pm on the arrival date and must be vacated by 10.00am on the day of departure.
8: The houses are equipped with crockery, utensils and all usual electrical appliances, as stipulated by the Northern Ireland Tourist Board.
Duvets, pillows, bed linen and towels are supplied.
Breakages must be paid for.
Electricity and heating is included in the overall rental cost.
9: Hirers must be 21 years or over; proof of ID may be required.
10: The maximum number of hirers allowed in each house is subject to its sleeping capacity. For example, if a house sleeps 6 people then maximum number of persons allowed in it is 6, unless previously authorised by the owner. This is to comply with insurance regulations and we reserve the right to terminate the rental without notice and without refund in the case of breach of this condition.
11: In the event of non-arrival where no notice has been given, the owner/agency reserves the right to re-let the premises from midday the following day.
12: Behaviour: behaviour should not be excessive or rowdy, especially at night. Offensive or illegal behaviour will not be tolerated and lead to immediate eviction. Please treat accommodation and facilities with respect and care so that other residents may continue to enjoy them.

Logement super équipé au calme avec une superbe vue sur la mer. A quelques pas du circuit de la northwest 200. Parfait. Sean nous a même permis de rester un jour de plus comme on s'était trompés sur la date du départ et sans frais supplémentaires, merci.

This is a wonderful house, ideally located halfway between the Promenade and Portstewart Strand, and with more character than many of the angular glass-fronted places in the area. The large upstairs bedroom has a lovely view of the sea and part of the Dominican college. Less than two minutes to the Cliff Walk, 10 minutes to Morelli's (great ice cream) to the east and 15 minutes to Harry's Shack (wonderful meals and the best sticky toffee pudding in Northern Ireland) to the west. The beds are very comfortable, and everything is quite clean. There is a clothes washer and separate clothes dryer out back, and these work very well. I would certainly stay here again on a subsequent visit.

Sean's house is in a fabulous location and was kept very well overall. We arrived late on Friday and there was no problem with key collection. We had a lovely few days using it as our base and would highly recommend Sean's house. Hopefully we will get to return in the future.

Such a great house. Modern and fully stocked with everything one needs for a terrific vacation. The location just can't be beat. Stunning ocean views, easily walkable to everything (beach, golf club, promenade, pubs, restaurants), and yet quiet enough to get some serious R&R in as well. Thank you for your hospitality.

Sean replied to our request for booking almost immediately. The description of the property was not a disappointment; if anything, it was understated. The house was comfortable and characterful. We instantly felt at home there. Everything we could have wanted was supplied. The house is located within easy walking distance of Portstewart and to complete the experience there is a wonderful view.

Really lovely house, perfect for a few days on the coast! House is really cosy and the rooms are beautiful. Sean was really friendly and communicative. Definitely a great place to stay if you're visiting the north coast, you won't be disappointed!
