Description

Cute little Tiny House! It used to be our boys' fort when they were young, now it is a comfortable little retreat for adventurers exploring Portland!

Cute little back yard "granny flat" cottage located near Mt Tabor park in very desirable neighborhood! The cottage is "Portland Style" construction with excellent insulation (R30), new windows, etc.. Great host, free internet, parking, furnished living space that is quite private.. I absolutely love to cook (growing up my parents owned a restaurant), and a made to order hot breakfast is included! Menu items range from homemade granola, homemade biscuits, Lisa's secret-recipe-fried potatoes, and much more!

The cottage contains an upstairs bedroom & sitting area. Note: There are steep stairs, so please take that into account if you have joint pain, etc... The QUEEN size mattress is new and comfortable. Downstairs there is a small kitchen with stove, microwave and under the counter fridge. Also downstairs is a full bath with ceramic tile shower. Coffee maker and freshly ground coffee provided in the cottage. Guests are welcome to use washer/dryer in main house.

Guests have use of the back yard with fruit trees and some berries when in season.

Also the cottage is within walking distance of Division street shops, Pizzicato pizza, the 52nd & Foster street Food Carts and much more.
The # 4 bus is just a block and a half away, which can take passengers west directly downtown. The " app or website is easy to use & can help you get you anywhere from the airport, to downtown, to Powells Books, The Chinese Garden, and so on.

You are most welcome to hang out in the back yard if you like, pick berries in season and so on!

I'm often here, if you have questions please feel free to message me through the Airbnb app!

South Tabor Neighborhood is a quiet eclectic little neighborhood with many avid gardners, friendly neighbors, and gobs of dog lovers. We have community get-togethers, work parties, and holiday celebrations! If you are used to neighborhoods where no one knows each other or even speaks to each other this is definitely NOT the neighborhood for you :-D

Check out the app, it's super easy to use & helpful to get around Portland without a car. The #4 bus goes right down Division Street, just a couple blocks from the cottage, and this bus will take you downtown so that you don't have to bother with downtown Portland's parking horrors, lol!

Check in is at 3pm or anytime thereafter. The cottage will be clean, unlocked and ready for you with the keys inside, so all you have to do is show and go straight on back through the driveway to the back yard where the cottage sits awaiting your arrival!

What a cozy place. Like staying in a treehouse right in the middle of Portland. I'd stay here again any time. Lisa was great.

Our stay at Lisa's cottage was awesome! It was very clean, and just the right size. It's super close to a few of our favorite eateries (KURE, Por Que No?). The cottage was equipped with coffee and eggs for breakfast. Lastly, the best part of our stay was she was able to accommodate our early arrival by letting us check in early. She was easy to communicate with and very prompt with her responses. We would definitely stay here again! Thanks Lisa!

We had a great stay! The cottage was cute and comfortable. Lisa was amazing and accommodating. She allowed us to drop of our luggage early and was always available if we needed something. The location was perfect. It's in a cute, quite and friendly neighborhood. The transit is just down the street which made traveling around the city easy. I would definitely stay here again.

I am a retired clinical social worker ~ I worked for 20 years in local hospitals and live with my husband Tom (who is a soon to be retired RN). We also have a "Schnoodle" rescue doggie Davy-Jones, who monitors the neighborhood from his perch a top the couch. Our two "twenty-something" sons reportedly live with us, but we rarely see them, lol! We've lived two decades here in the South Tabor neighborhood of Portland. Tom and I met twenty some ago while attending the University of Puerto Rico, and we love traveling, as well as opening up our backyard cottage & meeting new people! There are some great walking trails - a couple of my favorites are walking on nearby Mt. Tabor park with views of the whole city. I also enjoy the trail next to the Columbia River. There are also plenty of fantastic places to eat in Portland including my own home cooked meals (breakfast is included in your stay) but I also offer home cooked meals to the public: (URL HIDDEN) I have coupons in the cottage for a free dinner or brunch for you to surprise your Portland friends with as an unexpected freebie!!! Fun & yummy!

My hero is Eleanor Roosevelt, I can't seem to get enough of the color RED. In everything. I live for my art journaling group: aka: a bunch of sassy women who meet once a week to do fabulous art & then go out to happy hour afterwards~lol!
My husband is my best friend on earth, followed closely by my dad & fabulously unique sister who (unlike me) mows her lawn in high heels and mini skirts! My folks and siblings all live close by, many generations Oregonians are we all & are happy to welcome you to this great state!!!
Years ago my parents used to own a popular local restaurant with lunch and dinner lines going out the door. I suppose it's how I'm hardwired.... Some people do yoga to relax, I cook write & paint to relax, LOVE it!!! I'm excited to welcome you to THIS particular part of your awesome adventures in traveling, I love meeting all kinds of adventurers :-D
