We are a house of music lovers, with broad tastes. The house contains piano and guitar which you are free to play; it also contains drums, clarinet and trumpet, which we'd rather you didn't!

On parle français. Hablamos Español. Wir sprechen Deutsch. And a smattering of Japanese, Vietnamese and Arabic. Plus Irish Gaelic. Welcome!

Kitchen, family tv room, bathrooms, your bedroom and garden.

I've lots of experience offering free tourist advice to visitors, and enjoy doing so.

I'm available to accompany you as a tour guide, for an hourly fee of £25 (minimum two hours).

We are close to both town and country, with easy access to several local parks and beautiful riverside pubs on the Thames. We enjoy quality live music in (excellent) local pubs and clubs. Isleworth is one of London's famous 'villages' and is surrounded by historic sites. Kew Gardens is a short bus-ride away, as is lovely Richmond-upon-Thames with it's glorious park and 'protected' long views across London and surrounding countryside.
Windsor Castle (the Queen's proper home and a great place to visit) and other attractions are easily accessible by train or car.

We are well-situated for transport links into London, both local and international.

From Heathrow, it's 20 minutes by underground to Osterley, our nearest tube station.

We are a ten minute walk from both underground (Osterley and Hounslow East) and overground (Isleworth) train stations. It takes 40 minutes to reach Piccadilly by tube and 35 minutes to Waterloo (for the South Bank) by train. We are in Underground Zone 4.

There is free all-day car parking on local streets.

London Congestion Charging does not apply in our area. This is in Central London only and starts about 7 miles from our home. It does not apply at the weekends. Vehicle Emissions Charges apply only to commercial vehicles like vans and taxis. There are signs for both as you enter the Greater London roads network, but they will not affect you here.

Room rate includes* hot drinks, breakfast of toast/bread and spreads, or cereals and milk. (*reasonable use)

Fried English Breakfast available for additional payment: £5 per person.

Two-course evening meal not included, but available for additional payment: £10 per person.

Use of home office as dedicated space and use of office equipment available for additional payment, by arrangement.

Our dog is a Miniature Schnauzer - nothing to be afraid of.

Mutual respect is the key.

I love welcoming people into my family home and hope they have an enjoyable stay. I do all I reasonably can to ensure they are comfortable in every way. In return, it's appreciated when guests respect the space and the people in it. Behaviour and expectations should reflect the nature of the air bnb transaction, it's about sharing space and meeting people, it is not simply a hotel experience.

Smoking is permitted in the garden, but not indoors (including leaning out the window!)

Only booked guests are allowed, no extra visitors please.

It goes without saying that normal protocols of politeness, consideration and decency are expected from all sides. Please do ask if this needs to be clarified!

Bon voyage!

Irish born, lived in London for almost thirty years. Married, father of three grown children who live at home with me and my wife, when it suits them (only one at present). We love life, language, people, food, drink and music. Not necessarily in that order.

We are fairly new to Air BnB, but have hosted many language students in our home for a number of years (my wife tutors). They have always been delighted with their visit and the welcome they receive, and surprised at the quality of the food - most tourists expect food in Britain to be terrible - this is no longer the case in general, and certainly not in our home!

Life motto: "He not busy being born, is busy dying."
