Me and my wife spent three nights in Jane’s place and we cannot consider the stay with her just as an Airbnb good experience, we actually find a friend, an adventurer and gorgeous person waiting and welcoming us with all the love and passion that we wish to find more often. Jane has been the best host so far in our airbnb experience, and will be very hard to be beaten :-). I can’t find the words to describe how lucky we feel to meet her in our life path. Thank you LOL, hope see you somewhere soon

Very clean and quiet. Thoughtful notes everywhere and we were even offered breakfast! Sadly we had to leave before we could grab a bite. Thanks Jane

The house is in the outskirt of the town, with the way going in on a dirt road. It's great for someone who wants to hideout, but not so for those who want to be close to daily-life necessities and local attractions. The host is widely traveled and adventurous, very responsive and makes you feel home away from home. The room is spacious and bed linen is very clean. However, the shared bath needs some work. You need to ask the host for towels and bathroom tissue because she said that during the hurricane Irma time, people staying in her home took "5 rolls of bathroom tissues in a day". Also, she does not think the facial tissues are good for you. So if you want to use it anyway, please bring your own.

Thanks for the observations however Jean seems to have overlooked a few things. Airbnb clearly shows the location of listings on a circle - any map will show Ocala is a city 50 miles south of Gainsville. The listing clearly states the house is 6 miles to the nearest amenities, hospital, banks, gas stations, restaurants, Walmart, etc AND that there is just 0.6 mile or one kilometer of solid limerock road just before the modern home. The roads in to SW 85th Place are all paved asphalt. In Jean's private room there is a dresser drawer - slid open 4 inches - full of fresh clean bath towels, hand towels and face cloths. I think she did not notice she had dozens of them at her disposal whenever she wanted them. A second drawer in the room holds sets of clean and ironed sheets and pillowcases. The closet has several different kinds of pillows so guests can select ones they prefer. In the shared bathroom I do supply ample toiletries such as shampoos, conditioners, hydrogen peroxide, organic sunscreen and after-sun lotions, toothpaste, mouth rinse and the like - as well as toilet paper. Spare paper products are stored in a laundry/supply room vented to the garage where the formaldehyde from these chemical-laced products can not enter my home . As all facial tissue is laced with FORMALDEHYDE I do not allow it in my allergen-free home. It is a waste of Earth's resources and cannot be recycled. I also BAN smoking, pets illegal drugs and spices like pepper, cumin and turmeric which are deadly to sensitive people like me. I do keep prescription medications and epi-pens on hand for emergencies should a thoughtless guest contaminate my home. Perhaps Jean has never shared a home with teenagers, particularly with a young woman. When three guests have sets of toweling and personal toiletries such as toothbrushes, make-up, cosmetics, brushes, curling irons, combs and such I do agree a bathroom can get cluttered. Tolerance and camaraderie go a long way when sharing with others. Since I personally clean the bathroom, launder and iron the bedding and towels, vacuum and dust the rooms after each guest leaves I am positive the rooms were clean before guests arrive and after they leave. I hope potential guests do read the listing carefully and look at the location before they make their booking. Caveat emptor and mea culpa are appropriate here. Thanks for reading.

The nicest and most awesome experience! The place is wonderful and is surrounded by a beautiful garden with many species, yet the best of the house is Jane the LOL (lovely old lady) living there. She can give you a tour around with detailed information and interesting details about the plants. Jane also gives full information, directions and suggestions about what to do and where to go in the area. We borrowed her Kayaks, but as they did not fit in our car, she lent us hers!!! She also has an entertaining and interesting conversation, and she was available at any time. It was hosting at its best. If you happen to be exploring Florida, don’t miss this place.

Jane was a wonderful host! Her place was extremely clean and tidy. My bf and I ended up having to check in super late - well after midnight, and still Jane was super accommodating and made us feel at home. Thank you! We will be back!
