À propos de ce logement
Cosy attic apartment on the third floor of an old colonial house, located on the famous Wulumuqi Road in the former French Concession. Recently renovated.
The apartment feels private and secluded as the windows are shaded by the famous trees that line the roads of the French Concession. Charming sloped ceilings and original wooden beams give the place lots of character; the fact that it has been recently renovated means it is very comfortable too.
While it is technically a studio it doesn't have the feel of one. The bed's mezzanine was built when I moved in and is a super cosy place to sleep.
Both the living room and bathroom have windows equipped with fly screens so you can open the windows and still enjoy mosquito free nights. (A blessing in Shanghai's hot summers)
The bathroom is great, and includes a rain shower, washing machine and hair dryer. There is shower soap, shampoo and conditioner available.
The apartment has a powerful air-conditioning and an air purifier that constantly filters and cleans the air.
There are plenty of arthouse dvd's available and cables to connect your Macbook to the television for a lazy movie night after a day in the hectic city. The apartment has speakers that you can directly connect to your phone or ipod.
Accès des voyageurs
Guests have access to the shared garden, however the garden lacks some maintenance.

I'll be available via email, phone, , whatever's convenient for you. I'll also have a friend on hand to call in case of emergency.
If you want some tips on the best places to eat, drink and sightsee I'm happy to make some recommendations before you arrive.
The French Concession is Shanghai's most beautiful neighborhood, and is chockfull of bars, restaurants, shops, parks, spas... The apartment is very close to some of the area's main hubs, including Dongping Lu and bar street Yongkang Lu, both of which are very popular with foreigners.
It's also great for people-watching: the streets here are full of life and so it's definitely worth wandering around the area as much as possible.
A minute's walk from Hengshan Lu metro station on Line 1, and very close to line 9, 7 and 10. These lines will bring you to Peoples Square, Xintiandi, Xujiahui, JingAn Temple and lots of other tourist hot spots in just a few stops. It's also incredibly easy to get cabs just outside the house.
No pets and no smoking please.
My apartment is not available for long term rent. Please check the calendar for the availability.
I'm an industrial designer from Amsterdam, who moved to Shanghai in 2014. I love electronic music, arthouse movies, going out with friends and discovering the city on my bike.
