Our entire townhome is available for rent. It is a newly renovated, cozy home in the center of town. We are less than a mile from the Schuylkill River park, Rittenhouse Square, and Ben Franklin Parkway.
There are three bedrooms for adults that can accommodate two or three people along with a baby room that can accommodate one child in a crib and one in a pack-and-play. There is a full kitchen, elegant dining room that seats up to 12, and a cozy living room with an L-shaped coach surrounding an indoor fireplace and TV. On the third floor, there is a room deck overlooking the Philadelphia skyline, and a small back area that is perfect for relaxing, grilling, or parking a (small) car.
There is an available washer/dryer, two full bathrooms, one each on the second and third floor, and one half-bath on the first floor. In addition to the full kitchen, there is a small wet bar on the third floor.
The house is secured with an alarm system, for which a code will be available to you. In addition, there is an intercom system to easily identify visitors, and dual purpose smoke and carbon monoxide detectors on each floor that interface with the security system.
The house has center heating and air conditioning, and is easily programmable from the thermostat on the first floor.
Accès des voyageurs
The basement will be strictly off-limits. The basement has a low clearance and is used exclusively for storage, the boiler, and the HVAC unit. In addition, all of our kitchen utensils will not be available for use. However, we will provide a few pots and pans along with paper flatware and utensils.
Échanges avec les voyageurs
We are more than happy to walk you through the house upon arrival and show you how everything works and where towels and linens can be found.
The house comes with one "Zone 1" parking pass per day, which will allow you to easily park on our block, and all over the neighborhood. Additional parking passes can be purchased for $15/each. Just be aware that a single pass is only good for one calendar day on one car. Each car will need a pass for each day. There are some places to park that do not require parking passes, but they can be difficult to find.
As noted above, there is a space in the back of the house that has access to an alley and has a curb cut. A small car would be able to fit back there, but we take no responsibility for any damage to your car. I used to be able to fit my Ford Fiesta back there, but my Ford Escape does not fit. I'll let you make that decision! Also, please do not park in the alley. It is a public street and you could get towed.
There are no specific rules, but please treat our house as you would treat your own. We have invested time and effort into keeping the house clean and looking nice, and would love to keep it that way. If you have any specific questions, we would be happy to answer them. Also, please understand that this is a residential neighborhood with families. In addition to the city-wife noise ordinance after 11pm, try and keep noise at a reasonable level. By all means, have a good time, but don't throw the amps up to 11, if you know what I mean.
Also, absolutely no smoking in the house, in the back area, or on the third floor deck. If you start to light up, and think "I wonder if I can smoke here?", then don't. If you must smoke, please do it outside on the street, and please don't litter.
