As this is a working smallholding there may be animal sounds e.g. cock crowing, donkey braying and sheep noises. There are harmless spiders around. As stated we are sorry that dogs are not allowed. Probably not ideal for young children as we have no means of disposing of nappies/diapers.
As the accommodation is fairly close to the main house noise levels must be kept down at night.
Babies are welcome, but we have no facilities for disposal of nappies/diapers.
For 2017 we are open from 1st April to mid September. with the odd break.
As we are in a fairly remote part of Ireland the accommodation is not ideal for those without transport.

Myself, born in Scotland, retired Veterinary Surgeon. Lived on the Isle of Wight, England for many years. Also lived in Wales and New Zealand. Have traveled extensively since retirement in conservation and animal charity work. Jeannie, my wife, is a Veterinary Nurse and born in England. She looks after the sheep and hens we have on our smallholding. We are self sufficient in vegetables.
We enjoy meeting people as this adds a dimension to living in a remote area.
We are non smokers but make a pretty good home produced beer.
