Thank you for your review Tim. I do believe it is a bit critical, but I can understand if you were expecting a 5-star resort experience, which is not what is depicted or advertised. As states in my description, the roads leading to the cottage are rough and require a 4x4 rental. I have never in all my years experiences eggs breaking on the ride to the cottage and I would hope that the car was left in usable condition if that's the extent of damage done to packed eggs (assuming there was nothing heavy placed on top on the eggs during your drive back.) Concerning our dock, it's unfortunate that you got a splinter, but in my experience whenever you walk on a wooden floor, especially one exposed to the elements there's always a chance for a miscellaneous splinter. On that note, I will make it a point to ensure that the dock is sanded and made more comfortable for future guests.
As stated in my description, the cottage is located in a very secluded part of Eleuthera which itself is a quiet and scarcely populated island in The Bahamas. If you are looking for tons of restaurants, night life, and tourists to interact with, this is not the island for you. Feel free to try out Nassau if you're looking for a resort-style vacation, which to find an oceanfront property WITH a dock would run you in excess of double our listed rate. Eleuthera is a very special island and perfect for the traveler who wants to get away from it all, as reflected by past reviews, and we are continuously striving to improve the cottage and the surrounding property. Your feedback is appreciated.
