Wild applause for Alfredo and Ramon, who did everything in their power to make my short stay a pleasure. If you have to be at Fiumicino in the morning, definitely stay here the night before. They'll pick you up at the airport and deliver you again (for 10 Euros each way, worth it). You'll stay in a uniquely designed, literary-themed B&B that's beautiful, clean, spacious, and has all the amenities -- including a basket of shampoos, creams, whatever you might have neglected to pack. The photos are accurate -- the rooms really are this beautiful.
There is breakfast in the morning. I had to leave early and although Ramon offered to make me a meal, it was too early for me to want to eat, so he packed me a take-away bag to make the wait in the airport more pleasant.
Ramon is a prince. I stupidly tried to walk back from Ostia. Being an enthusiastic walker and having (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps on my phone, I thought I could do it, despite Alfredo's warning that I shouldn't. Nope -- folks, do not try this! I ended up stranded with the highway on one side and a field on the other, with night falling. I called Ramon and he dashed out to pick me up, not even scolding me. (I'm not putting this in the review saying you should try it -- no, do not try it. I'm just showing you what an amazing guy Ramon is.)
I would definitely stay here again.
