Description

Great apartment with fully stocked kitchen.
Easy access to the subway. 20 minutes to times square.
Great views of Yankee Stadium across the Harlem river.
Friendly safe neighborhood.
Gorgeous hardwood floors and exposed brick walls.
Grand piano.

We have a beautiful 2 bedroom apartment with hardwood floors, exposed brick, tons of natural light, and newly renovated kitchen. We are musicians, so we have a very musical house, with a grand piano, a piano keyboard, and a guitar which you are more than welcome to play & enjoy. We also have a collection of classical, opera, jazz, and rock LPs that we can spin on our turntable.
We do not have cable, but we have excellent WIFI and hardwire ethernet cable in order to stream Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, and HBOGO.

The apartment is a 6 floor walk-up, so you must be okay with walking up the stairs. Because of this, we have very little noise from neighbors because we are on the top floor in the corner of the building.

You will have 1 private bedroom with a very comfortable queen sized bed, closet space, and window air conditioner. But you will also have access to the entire apartment - music room, living room, bathroom and kitchen. The bathroom is shared with us.

We work during the day, but we are happy to offer suggestions of things to do, places to eat, museums etc. to check out while you are here!
We've been in NYC for a long time, and know many good restaurants and fun things to do all over the city.

We love living in Harlem! We are on a rather busy street, so there are lots of people always walking around. There are lots of families in the neighborhood, with many children and strollers around.
I especially love living in Harlem because it has more of a community feel compared with some neighborhoods farther downtown. People might actually say hello to you and make eye contact.

The neighborhood is very safe. We often walk around at night and we never have a problem.

If you walk down toward 135th street or West toward Broadway, the crowd is younger and there are more bars, music venues, and trendy restaurants. And we are happy to give recommendations!

The Apollo Theater is not too far away, on 125th street. Also close by is the famous Red Rooster restaurant. Shrine, Harlem Nights, Silvana, & Ginny's Supper Club have live music many times a week. Sylvia's famous restaurant is nearby.
We are also walking distance to Yankee Stadium which is right across the Harlem River.

The subway is very close to the apartment with easy access to many NYC tourist destinations.

There is a parking garage two long blocks over from the apartment that has very reasonable daily rates.

LGBT friendly!

I am an elementary school music teacher originally from California. I moved to NYC about 5 years ago, and I love living in the city. I especially love living in Harlem, which has more of a community feel compared with some neighborhoods farther downtown.
I enjoy listening to many types of music, learning about urban history, architecture, gardening (not much gardening happening in a NYC apartment), and cooking.
