Accès des voyageurs
On the farm you may find grazing goats (not every year) , some chickens and a few rabbits in addition to a couple of castrated cats. All animals are free roaming, and due to this, we do not allow dogs on our property. The inside of the houses are pet free.
In addition to the house itself, you'll have access to your own private garden and the farm's forest and gardens. In season you are welcome to taste our ecological produce, and explore the forest for fresh berries or mushrooms or the lake for fresh fish.
In the hunting season roe deer hunting is available at an extra fee.
There is mobile coverage and you'll have your own parking space.
We have a canoe and a small boat with outboard motor for rent as well. (advance booking required)
Échanges avec les voyageurs
We are fluent in English/Norwegian/Swedish and can understand some German and French. Our daughter is learning Spanish, and she can interpret basic communication.
We will welcome you and give you the guided tour of the property, then leave you alone. We are off course available via telephone or email. Please join us around the campfire in the garden in the evenings if you wish.
Please note that late check-out is available on Sundays at a special rate if arranged when you book.
Please note that the bedrooms are small and some of the beds are bunk beds. Some bunks accommodates two guests for a night or two, but if you are staying for a long period, the house is better suited for six or seven guests. Larger groups are possible, but it will be crowded.
If your vacation contains adjacent stays in more than one of our properties, we are able to transport you from one place to another. (up to 8 persons).
Things to do in the area if you don't have a car:
Explore the garden and forest - Feel free to play in your private garden or explore the larger park that is shared between all tenants at the farm. There is a wast forest around the farm, with plenty of paths and places to stop for a cup of hot chocolate by a camp fire. There are mushrooms and berries to pick, roe deer to watch (or hunt if you visit in season), wildlife to explore and silence to listen to.
Meet the goats - Some years we have a small flock of goats that really appreciate visitors. Feel free to pet them or feed them braches from shrubs or bushes outside the fence. Please do not feed them food for humans, except what you might find in a garden or in a field.... and please switch the electric fence off before you touch it.... and back on after.
Borrow bikes, skis or a canoe - We have a canoe with room for two adults and two children, a couple of bikes and several pairs of cross-country skis to borrow. We also have a small boat with motor for rent.
Explore the town of Moss - Moss is accessible by bike or bus. The bus stop is a short walk from the farm (around 15 minutes) and the bus is around 30nok (€3) and will take you Moss in 12-15 minutes. Each adult can bring four children free of charge (15y.o. or younger). With a little planning, you may hitch a ride with one of our cars one or both ways, we usually have at least one car in each direction every day, and two cars in each direction on workdays.
Oslo, Fredrikstad and Hvaler is also accessable by public transportation, but requires a little planning. Please let us know if you need some help in planning your travel arrangements.
This farm is our home and we expect everyone to behave accordingly.
There is a deposit of 1000 NOK, which will be released in full if you leave the premises as they were when you arrived. If you prefer to leave the used dishes on the counter and the floor unswept, that's perfectly okay, but then we will claim the deposit.
The "cleaning fee" in your booking covers bed sheets and linens, airport pickup, firewood and internet. The "deposit" covers the general cleaning of the property. (which applies if you leave the soiled dishes on the counter etc).
Hence, the "cleaning fee" is mandatory, while the "deposit" is refundable.
Please ask if this is unclear.
Si vous annulez jusqu'à 7 jours avant le voyage, vous recevez un remboursement à hauteur de 50 % et les frais de service vous sont remboursés intégralement.

My name is Eivind and I live with my wonderful wife and our three lovely children on a small farm outside the town of Moss in the south-eastern part of Norway.
On the farm we have free-range goats and some rabbits and a few houses for rent. (available on AirBNB from time to time, in between long-term leases).
A few years ago we purchased a private island in the exciting archipelago of Hvaler; the pricipality with the most sunny days in Norway. On this private island, there is a cabin, and the entire island is available on AirBNB for you to explore.
I work in Gothenburg in a small research company and when I travel with work I prefer AirBNB to hotels.
My wife and I have quite a wide experience with AirBNB, both as hosts and as guests, and we are looking forward to future vacations and business trips as well as hosting new guests in one of our strange properties.
Take care and see you soon;
Cecilie & Eivind
