The view was absolutely stunning. You can see the Milky Way easily and there is absolutely no light pollution. The sunset was beautiful, peaceful and quiet. Without any cellphone signal, it's basically like staying in the wild!! I woke in the middle of the night and recognized Orion's Belt(constellation) above the horizon through the tree. I felt so happy even with cold toes. This is my first time living in a cabin without heating. That being said, my toes were pretty cold in the middle of the night because the weather was below 0 degrees. Remember to bring super heavy bedding if you wanna enjoy one night here in fall or winter. Gaisheda is so nice. I was about 90 minutes late due to the traffic jam at Algonquin park and she was there waiting for me!! 100% worth it.

No complaints about the host. Be aware that boat rentals are extra, toilet is a Porta potty and there are two cabins side by side that can be rented out to different people that must share outdoor kitchen area & Porta potty. Perhaps not recommended a couple seeking a private getaway.

My girlfriend and I were looking for a place to stay one night so we could attend the Killaloe craft fair. This was the perfect place for us. The cabin was clean and had 2 single beds. A bbq and a picnic table. Some dishes and drinking water are supplied as well. The location is perfect close to Wilno and Barry's Bay. The scenery is just stunning with the lake. We went swimming and kayaking. Gaisheda and Pat were very attentive and made sure we had everything. Make sure you bring a lantern or flashlight for the evening. Perfect little getaway !! Going back in 2 weeks with my hubby! Thank you.
