A very lovely apartment close to many good restaurants and coffee shops, there's a grocery shop, Spar, and small shopping mall 10 mins walk from the apartment. The host is very nice and friendly as well. Just one thing I don't really like, there are too many pubs in this area, and sometimes, drunk people could be very annoying at night. However, if you love parties and pubs, you will definitely love this place.
Gabriella is a great host, responsive and very flexible. We arrived in Budapest after midnight but she said no problem and she was waiting for us at the flat with the keys. The flat is in a great location, very close to popular places like Szimpla Kert (literally next block), Gozsdu Udvar, and lots of other bars. In fact, pretty much all central Budapes attactions are within walking distance. The area can be noisy during the night because all the nightlife going on but the windows of the flat overlook an inner courtyard, so it actually helps keep it quieter. The house looks a bit scruffy on the outside (graffiti, etc.) and inside (main hallway and staircase could do with some renovation) but the flat is brand new and clean inside. A major street (Rakoczi) is just around the corner with buses, trams, metro and the Hop On/Hop Off buses as well. Grocery stores almost on each corner too. If you need to park your car and don't want to leave it in the street, there's a guarded car park further up the street, although at approx. 18 EUR per day, I think it's a bit expensive. There's a great little cafe ("Early Bird") just opposite with friendly staff and good coffee to help start the day with a bit more energy :-) Inside the flat, all the necessary bits and pieces were there, including plates, pots and pans, an electric hob, microwave, etc. Also, lots of tourist leaflets and maps, so if you forget to take your own, you will be fine. If you're looking for a place to stay in this area, I'm sure you will enjoy Gabriella's flat.
