À propos de ce logement
Welcome to my newly decorated bright and cosy apartment 10min walk to Holyrood Park and 20min walk to Princes Street with a view of Calton Hill.
Welcome! If you were looking for a homely and cosy central apartment in Edinburgh – you have just found it! You can spend relaxed evenings watching dvds, playing games, reading brochures and leaflets, learning about Edinburgh and Scotland or just put your feet up and listen to music.
The apartment is on the second floor of a traditional Victorian tenement house in the central neighbourhood of Hillside, with a view of Calton Hill (good to watch New Year fireworks!)
The place is newly decorated and equipped to ensure comfortable and problem-less stay. The kitchen is bright and spacious with a dining area and all necessaries (oil, salt, pepper, selection of teas, coffee, cane sugar etc). I also provide a ‘welcome breakfast pack’ which includes quality foods like: bread, milk, free range eggs, jam, cereals etc
The living room is tastefully decorated and has a peaceful ambience – just perfect to relax after a long day of exploring the city. There is a comfy sofa, tv, dvds, games, books, 'fibre optic speed' wi-fi. The gas central heating to make sure you're warm and comfortable after a whole day out.
The bed (and the pocket spring mattress) are brand new and will provide a good night sleep for two.
Third person can be accommodated as a single futon bed is provided if required.
There is a gas powered shower over bath. Fresh linen and towels are provided for all guests.
Maps, tourist leaflets, guides are also available in the flat as well as some 'insider info' on restaurants, pubs and attractions/places to visit in Edinburgh and nearby area.
There are on street parking spaces right in front of the building (charge applies Mon - Fri 8.30am to 5.30pm, Sat - Sun free), free parking just a couple of streets down.

The whole apartment is yours to enjoy and you are free to come and go as you please, however please respect the neighbours and keep the noise down especially after 10pm.

Check in and check out times are fairly flexible and for majority of bookings my partner or myself will be there to welcome you, show you the apartment and answer all the questions you may have. In case we will be unable to welcome you in person I will arrange the key collection nearby. During your stay you will be able to contact me by phone or Airbnb at any time.
The apartment is located in friendly residential area only 2 minutes away from vibrant Easter Road where you can find selection of independent cafes, shops, bakery as well as mini super market (there also is a shopping centre located 10 min walk away). We also have several restaurants/take-aways in the area.
Most Edinburgh’s attractions are within walking distance (Holyrood Park, Arthur’s Seat, Parlament, Queen’s Palace, bottom of Royal Mile 10 min; Princes Street, Calton Hill, Playhouse 15min; Castle 30min); There are many and frequent buses (24h) just few minutes away on London Road.
The nearest tram stop is York Place (10 min walk) and from here you can get the tram directly to the airport in 35 minutes (direct bus no 35 stops just 2 min from my doorstep, however the journey takes about 1 hr)
Main train station and bus station are about 20 min away, as is the AirLink bus no 100 (express bus to/from airport)
The apartment is located very conveniently indeed, with a direct connection to Ocean Terminal (Royal Yacht Britannia), Pentland Hills, Roslyn Chapel, Portobello and amazing beaches of East Lothian (Gullane, North Berwick). For the drivers: the area is easily accessible from East (A1) as well as the West (M8 and M9 via the Edinburgh Bypass A720).
There are on street parking spaces right in front of the building (charge applies Mon - Fri 8.30am to 5.30pm, Sat-Sun free), free parking just a couple of streets down.
Please send a message with a little information about yourself and your trip to Edinburgh before you book if your profile is not complete or you have no reviews, thanks.
No smoking and no parties, please!
There are bright carpets throughout the flat and I would be grateful if you could take your shoes off after walking in – thank you!
Sorry no pets are allowed.
Please leave the place as you found it :)
The guest book is available for you to say a couple of words on your experience in the apartment
And last but not least - Have a great stay!!

Hi, I'm Ela! I moved to Scotland in 2004, planned to stay for a couple of years only, but found it rather hard to leave this amazing place. I am much of nature and outdoors lover, so here you go - how could I not love the wilderness and beauty of Scottish landscape?! Edinburgh itself takes a special place in my heart as well - lovingly situated: at the sea but only 30 mins bus journey from nearest hills. The Capital city of Scotland is a busy place but does not have the pressure/tension feeling to it, not too small not too big, just perfect and so beautiful... as you can see, I truly am Scotland-mad :) so if you're just passing thru Edi and eager to visit some beautiful Scottish corners I will be happy to give some tips and ideas! I live with my partner Bea, to get to know us better visit our blog (URL HIDDEN)
