Thank you for the positive feedback Roselyne. It is indeed paradise (love going there myself to unwind) I guess the house is not the easiest to find (sorry). For others who wish to book: Follow the signs tor Kosa or Alberta’s Palace (stonethrow from the beach house). The junction to branch is Ayensudo junction (along the Accra – Takoradi road / 20 mins after Elmina junction). Anybody around Elmina will know Ayensudo (plus there is sign indicating Ayensudo and 2 big signboards for Alberta’s and Kosa). Moreover you can contact the caretaker an hour in advance (he is happy to pick you from the village = Ampenyi). Good tip to bring some extra groceries from Accra or nearby Cape Coast. Thank you. M

We booked the house to have an opportunity to stay at the beach in tranquil surroundings. That is exactly what we found after arriving. The setting is very “bounty like ”and indeed right at the beach. The outside of the house looks wonderful, and you have the beach at your feet. Fisher boats coming in in the morning and afternoon and the village people come by to sell bananas. Exactly what we were looking for. But we do have some comments though about the inside of the house. There are 4 bedrooms, 2 doubles and 2 singles and 3 bathrooms. We used only one room and basically the house was too big for the 2 of us. It can however only rented out as one unit, because of the layout of the rooms. If you are with a large party it might be the perfect place. We stayed in the room on the seaside which looked like it was the coolest one in the house with a breeze coming in and with a van above the bed we thought it would make us sleep at night. However, the breeze is gone at night and the van stopped because off a power cut (very common in Ghana). It made sleeping in the house very difficult. So be aware of the fact that you are adjust to sleeping in hot circumstances (which we were not) Also we found the matrasses not that clean and our sheets were made of polyester (which we changed with sheets from another bed, because it had cotton sheets on it). Also towels looked very worn down. Overall I would rate this accommodation as budget. We had a good time though because of the caretaker Joe. He was wonderful, he went with us to the market in Elmina and we bought fresh fish which he cooked for us in the evening. ( I honestly could not have cooked in the heat in the kitchen) With anything you might need he will be able to give you a hand ( taxi, beer, shopping etc.) we enjoyed his company and learned a lot about the Ghanaian way of life. I you do not want to cook at the house or do not want to spend time with Joe, you can go to the Koh Sa beachresort only 500m then you can have some wonderful meals there as well. Overall we had a good stay.
