What a beautiful location. Close to all amenities and Karen couldn't have made us feel more welcome. The cottage is lovely and authentically Irish with everything we could need. A home away from home. The animals were a true treat for my children, the dogs were such fun, and the pony and fresh eggs from the chickens were delicious, with home made jams and a lovely food welcome package. I'd also like to thank Karen for the tour of her castle which is stunning. Thank you and will definitely return. (The only tip for future guests that I would recommend, which is no fault of the cottage or Karen, is if you want to watch Netflix etc download before you arrive as the Wifi isn't fast enough, not that we were using it or needed to.)
What a wonderful cottage just outside of the castle. The house was very clean and we were able to make a fire in the wood / coal stove. The fire was so warm and cosy for our honeymoon. Moran's Oyster House is minutes away and have the best oysters I have ever tasted. The employees there know Karen and went out of their way to make us feel at home. Would love to stay here again!
There is plenty of room for 5 or 6 in this little house! Karen is very quick to get back to you if you contact her about anything. We enjoyed the chickens and the jam from the castle that Karen makes. As it was not very cold we did not want to bother with a fire, so things always felt a little damp, but that is to be expected with the climate.
