À propos de ce logement
Stay in our cozy, light-filled upstairs apartment on the river in River West! Enjoy our beautiful backyard with fire pit and access to the river. Convenient transit access to Brady Street and Downtown (and a mere 10-minute drive by car).
We've furnished this apartment with vintage treasures to make you feel at home. It's lo-fi, so don't expect TV. Do expect great records, books, and plan to enjoy a cocktail at night, and good granola and coffee in the morning.
There is one large bedroom with queen sized bed. The living room couch converts to another queen sized bed. I would guess the apartment can cozily accommodate 4 people, and another bedroom is in the process of being finished, so check back for updates!
Laundry is available in the common basement area, and is free.

We are a less than 10 minute drive if anything comes up, and readily available via phone or Airbnb messeges. Once we know you're settled and happy, we'll leave you to explore and enjoy.
Our home is located on a very quiet cul-de-sac east of Humboldt. We are one of two original 20's bungalows on the block. The remainder of our cul-de-sac is residential apartments, and we are steps away from Kern Park. If you have questions about our neighborhood, I'm happy to answer them. Please know that we live in an economically and racially diverse neighborhood. We have two small children that we feel perfectly comfortable raising here, so we invite you to explore the amazing surroundings with an open heart and mind. Riverwest is home to lots of great coffee shops, bars, community spaces, and places to explore. It's home to artists, young families, and a diverse population of newer arrivals like us, and people who have lived here for generations. Being close to the river means that you have access to the amazing Oak Leaf Trail that runs along the Milwaukee River. You're also a short drive or bike ride to UWM. We're about 4 miles from downtown, which is a short car ride, or about a 30 minute bus commute on the #14 bus. Check out our guidebook for places we recommend.
Parking is available on site in our driveway. We have bikes we are happy to lend you, as well as a canoe or kayak if you're interested in exploring the river.
The #14 bus is a short walk from our house, which takes you down Humboldt to points further downtown. Driving is easy in Milwaukee, and you'll be in the city in 10 minutes. That's why we love it here :)
Please lock your car at night, and remove valuable items, as a common sense precaution.
When you choose to stay in our home, you understand that you're booking a stay in a 100-year-old home. It will be clean, the beds will be comfortable, and it will be a good value, but if you're looking for brand-new and luxurious, you've got the wrong place, try elsewhere.
You also understand that you are booking in a neighborhood that is racially and economically diverse. Our immediate surrounding residences are primarily apartment buildings; we are one of two original houses on the cul-de-sac. Please be sure you've read through location information thoroughly so there are no misunderstandings. Racist reviews or comments will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Ask, ask, ask me any questions at all - I'll happily give you the neighborhood scoop!
No smoking anywhere inside, and within 25 feet of any entrance to the house. If you smoke anywhere on our property, please clean up after yourself - no cigarette butts on the ground.
No illegal drug use or underage drinking. Please notify us first if you intend to have guests over who aren't a part of your traveling party.
Keep noise levels reasonable at night if you are outside, and absolutely no loud parties or gatherings outside after 10 pm. 10 pm quiet rules apply indoors, as well - it is an old house and sound carries.
Please do your best to treat our furniture and furnishings carefully, as they've been lovingly selected to make the space special. If something breaks (we understand that accidents happen), please let us know, so we can fix it, or replace it as soon as we can.
And enjoy your stay!!!
