À propos de ce logement
Beautiful spare room in our new build family home with private bathroom & use of the ground floor of the house. This includes the kitchen (when not in use - pls ask), living room & access to our garden. Ideal location, continental breakfast included
The bedroom is fantastically bright with full length windows and a stunning view towards the Pentland Hills and over the city. You will have a very comfy king size bed, and the area we live in is quiet so you will have a great sleep. Inside the wardrobe there is a desk and chair, ideal for any work you may need to do but out of the way so not taking up space in the bedroom. We also provide fresh towels, hairdryer (straighteners available on request), and full use of our wifi. There is also a kettle with tea & coffee in your room and you are welcome to use the milk in our fridge! You will also find in your room a TV with Digital Freeview. We have free on-the-street parking outside if you need to park a car while you stay with us, which is completely unrestricted.
Accès des voyageurs
The bedroom is downstairs and we sleep upstairs so you have a lot of privacy and use of your own private shower room directly next to your room. We do also have a bathroom upstairs which you are welcome to use should you fancy a bath.
During your stay please feel free to make use of our living room, we have a couple of comfy sofas & a big dining table, and Virgin TV that we are happy to share with you. Guests will also have access to our free WiFi.
We will give you a key when you arrive so you can come & go as you like.

Myself and my partner Paul will both be available throughout your stay at our house. We both work from home but are mostly out during the day visiting clients, however this means we can be very flexible with arrival times and being around the house to help you at short notice. We have both worked in the hospitality industry for many years, so are more than happy to provide ideas, suggestions or advice on things to do, places to visit and of course great restaurants and bars in Edinburgh. Paul also has a vast amount of knowledge about the rest of Scotland. Should you be planning a trip around our beautiful country, he would be delighted to help you with this both with routes and suggestions of where to stay and what to see. We are both happy to sit in the house and socialise with guests over a coffee or glass of wine, or leave you to enjoy your stay in peace if you prefer.
Check In & Out:
Check in is flexible depending on your arrival in the city, however if your room is not ready you are still welcome to come by and drop your bags. We may not be able to be at home at the time but will be able to arrange access for you.
Check out is at 11am to allow us to clean your room, but if you are not leaving the city until later on you are welcome to leave your bags with us while exploring the city
A selection of cereals, bread for toasting and preserves will be provided along with milk, tea, coffee. If you would like anything else particularly please let us know in advance, eg to suit dietary requirements.
If you are bringing bikes of your own, we do have a secure bike store that you can use.
If you are flying into Edinburgh and therefore arriving with us from the airport, the best options are a taxi (approx £12) or alternatively the number 100 airport bus (£4.50 per person). If you take the bus, the stop to get off at is Drum Brae, then you can walk a few metres back to your left and you will see a bank on the corner. This road is Drum Brae, you would take this right and then walk up the road around 400m. We are the second road on the left Craigmount Approach.
If you come from the city centre, the bus is number 26 for Clermiston (£1.60 per person per journey). Again you will be looking to get off on the main road Drum Brae but you can ask the driver to let you know the stop for the Spice Lounge. This is the restaurant directly next door to our building.
We do also have Paul's son staying with us at weekends. He is a fun loving 4 year old who loves to meet new people and will happily chat to you for hours if you would like to interact with him. He sleeps upstairs with us therefore you won't hear him and he sleeps right through the night so no worries about being woken up! You might have to listen to a few stories about Fireman Sam if you do see him whilst you are here though! :)
We live in a lovely complex with very friendly neighbours, but would appreciate no loud noise late at night which might disturb them. This is also a non smoking house, but you are welcome to smoke outside on our external staircase. Sorry, no pets unless agreed in advance. Happy for you to have takeaway food in the house but please eat in the dining room rather than bedroom.
Si vous annulez jusqu'à 5 jours avant votre voyage, vous recevez un remboursement intégral, frais de service compris.
Hi! Thanks for viewing our profile. We are a young couple in our late twenties who love life in Edinburgh. Paul grew up here whilst Jenna has lived here for 8 years, and we have a genuine love for the city and also meeting new people. This means that hosting on Airbnb is the perfect way for us to combine both, and we look forward to welcoming you to our house. We work in the food & drinks industries, which we really enjoy and like to spend time with our friends and family outside of work. We are known for our love of holidays too, so we would be delighted to hear about where you are from and if it's a potential good destination for our next holiday! Our favourite city is NYC, what an amazing place!! We also like to watch movies, sometimes play sports and definitely a good meal at a nice restaurant.
