Charming 17th century stone farmhouse with pool. Built on a hill, Casale San Bartolomeo overlooks a wide valley. Located in the middle of Umbria, halfway between Todi and Perugia, Casale San Bartolomeo is only 1,40 hr from Rome and Florence
The house is laid out on two floors: the ground floor hosts the breakfast room with an ancient log fireplace and a living room with another fireplace, a big library, sofa and Sat TV; while the five bedrooms, each with private en-suite bathroom with shower, are on the first floor.
For our guests we have three double rooms and two triple: Room with a view, Mansfield Park, Wuthering Heights, Jane Eyre and Barry Lyndon.

At Casale San Bartolomeo you can use our panoramic swimming pool, to take Italian cooking classes and/or Italian lesson;
In the surrounding area you can have wine and food tasting, riding horses, trekking and mountain biking, rafting in the Marmore falls.

We offer family style home cooked meals (healthy and delicious) in the evenings.
Our dishes are prepared by my self in our family kitchen and the ingredients are usually the same we use for our own meals. Our dinner is organized on the basis of a concept of hospitality in a private house, open to all those who appreciate healthy and want to stay in a simple, relaxed atmosphere.
All guests have to choose a fixed menu. Specify if you require a special diet (vegetarian, gluten-free, lactose-free; etc.) and what you don’t like, for example, garlic, onion, pepper, red pepper, wild boar, rabbit, etc)

Ci piace viaggiare e non avere una fissa dimora. Attualmente viviamo in Umbria e in Toscana. Appena abbiamo un week end libero partiamo per scoprire qualche nuovo posto in Italia e nel mondo.
Le vie di mezzo non fanno per noi: in Umbria viviamo in un casale del 1700 costruito all'interno di un bosco. In Toscana siamo nella splendida Lucca, dentro le mura medievali, nella via più famosa del centro storico.
Io sono di Roma, mia moglie di Firenze, abbiamo due bimbe che hanno acquisito da noi la voglia di viaggiare e ci seguono in ogni nuova avventura. Parliamo abbastanza bene 4 lingue e apprezziamo la cucina e la cultura dei paesi diversi dal nostro. Per questo motivo gli ospiti che ci onorano della loro presenza sono sempre i benvenuti.
