Description

Nestled in a walkable residential neighborhood and ideally located nearby to the Downtown Plano Arts District. Close by you'll find shopping, restaurants, bars, entertainment, galleries, and more. This 1950s house is also within easy reach to mass transit and nearby major highways. The guest room and adjacent bathroom offers privacy for up to two, with the rest of the home also available for shared use - including a modern kitchen, dining room, living room, and spacious outdoor areas.

The house is a late-1950s home situated in Downtown/Old Towne Plano.

A variety of outdoor living and dining spaces including a cozy front porch, relaxing deck with rocking chairs, a backyard fire pit perfect for socializing, and outdoor dining area for meals or doing some work on a warm Texas afternoon.

Inside is a cozy living room with a fireplace and television, dining room with seating for up to eight, a modern galley kitchen with stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, full-sized refrigerator, and a variety of small appliances (toaster, juicer, blender, and electric kettle) for guest use. Off the kitchen is a laundry area that guests are also free to use upon request.

Guests will have private use of their guest room and guest bathroom. The guest room features a queen-sized bed with 310 thread-count sheets and ample pillows. There is also a closet supplied with hangers, a luggage rack, fresh bathrobes, and slippers. The room is also equipped with an Apple TV-connected television, plenty of outlets for device charging, and an adjustable ceiling fan. Depending on the weather, you may also sleep with the window open as the neighborhood is very safe and quiet.

During your stay the hall bathroom will be reserved for guest-only use and features a bathtub/shower. Plenty of towels provided as well as shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and extra toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, razor, shaving cream, etc.) available upon request.

The living room, dining room, kitchen, mud/laundry room (upon request and after receiving instructions), and all outdoor spaces (including the front porch, backyard, and deck) are shared spaces.

Guests do not have access to the office, master bedroom, or garage.

Depending on my work and travel schedule, I am happy to show you around and socialize, or leave you on your own - whatever you prefer. I can also provide you with information on running, walking, or cycling routes in the area.

So many reasons to love Old Towne... Character, Setting, Activities, and Amenities. A cool residential area quietly nestled between several major intersections so anything you need is just minutes away.

It's clean... Streets lined with trees, not trash.

Community... Nice neighbors that love their neighborhood.

It's convenient... Most errands can be accomplished on foot or within a five minute drive.

It's different... There are beautiful neighborhoods all over Plano with huge, towering homes, but this area is different in a great way. It's one of the oldest neighborhoods in the city and has its own modest and unique feel.

It's quiet... Once the sun starts to set, things stay pretty quiet until the morning. Most people can even sleep with the windows open and not be bothered.

It's safe...Consistently named one of the safest cities in America.

It's fun...Bars, restaurants, art galleries, and unique shopping is just minutes away.

The easiest way to walk to Downtown Plano is to turn right out the front door and walk towards 18th Street. Left on 18th Street and then left on K Avenue. Bars, restaurants, shopping, and galleries are just down the street.

I have a small (17 lb.) dog named Felix. He gets along with everyone and typically goes to work with me during the days.

I haven't been everywhere yet, but it's on my list.

I'm free-thinking native Texan with chronic wanderlust. I'm from Austin originally, but have called Dallas/Fort Worth home since 2006. I've lived and worked all over, including San Diego, Las Vegas, New Orleans, North Carolina, Hong Kong, and London.

I like people, running, travel, food & wine, Scotch, dog-friendly establishments, the Dallas Cowboys, anything outdoors (hiking, camping, trail running), last minute plans, museums, beer, politics, going out, and staying in.
