We are usually away when guests stay in our home, however details of contacts are available in the welcome pack, including emergency contact numbers. Access to the house is via a key safe and a cleaner will prepare the house for your stay and return after you vacate. Please feel free to contact me through Airbnb with any questions you may have prior to and during your stay and I will assist in any way that I can. The welcome pack has ideas on places to visit, eat and drink (without trying to be too biased about the things we love in Brighton!) which we hope you will find useful. Kitchen basics will be provided so that you are stocked up for your arrival.
Hanover is a quirky suburb of Brighton, known for its brightly coloured houses, arts and crafts and friendly neighbourhood pubs. Fresh coffee and pastries are available 2 minutes away and famous Fannys delicatessen is a short stroll into Hanover. Nearby Queen's Park offers a great green space where locals go for a picnic on the weekend. There is also a park for children and big kids alike. Hanover is also known as 'Muslie Mountain'; firstly because of the local types who like their organic food and also because it's on a hill.... The walk back from town is uphill, so take your time, admire the houses and stop for a pint or two on your way back.
There is a bus stop at the bottom of the street and details are available in the welcome pack. Brighton train station is a 15/20 minute walk away and a taxi from town will cost roughly £6/7. Parking is available in various locations across Brighton but if you don't mind the walk, it's probably best to leave the car at home if you're heading into town.
Please note that Arnold Street is a one way street, so access is available from Queens Park Road but not Elm Grove. Parking is free on the street outside of the house, however being Hanover it can get quite busy. You are allowed to park on either side of the street and if no spaces are available try the street above or below.
We live in a residential area so please consider our neighbours. We only allow booked guests to stay in the property but don't worry, there's plenty of places in Brighton for a party. Smoking is permitted in the garden but not indoors; please use the pot in the chimnea to dispose of your butts. As I am allergic to dog hair, no pets permitted I'm afraid.
