Recently renovated apartment with great in-town locale.
(note: please inquire about discounts for stays of 4+ nights, also please shoot me a message before submitting a reservation request for one-night stays as I only accept them depending on other reservations)
This fully furnished apartment includes all you need for a comfortable stay in Vieques: beautiful four-poster queen bed with a new serta mattress (as well as an inflatable mattress and bedding for a second guest), kitchen area with all the basics, wi-fi, chairs, cooler for the beach, etc. While it doesn't have as good a view as the other two apartments in the same building, it is also the most quiet of the three.
The space is on top of the hill a few blocks from main street of Isabel II and is only a few blocks to bars, restaurants, grocery, the ferry dock, town square, etc. Views of the last Spanish colonial fort in the "new" world from the bedroom area.
This apartment is definitely a great chance to experience local life in Vieques as well as having the convenience of having everything you need within walking distance: get fantastic Puerto Rican coffee at Roy's or La Panaderia in the mornings, stroll by the beautiful cemetary in the on the way to a drink and views at Al's Mar Azul in the afternoon, and walk down to holiday festivities in the town plaza at night. The benefits of the in-town locale does come with the added noise of daily life as well as the roosters crowing in the a.m. (although that's pretty much everywhere on the island).
If I'm not in Vieques during your stay, the property manager lives nearby if a problem should arise. Also, having spent the sum of several years in Vieques, I am happy to provide advice regarding any and all aspects of the island.
2 guest maximum. Check-in/check-out is generally flexible, but when guests depart and others arrive on the same day, may require 11:00 check-out/1:00 check-in, depending on guest schedules. Guests are always able to stash their gear in the extra apartment, use that bathroom etc., if you are arriving early or are departing on a late flight or ferry.
Accès des voyageurs
Guests have access to anything/everything in the apt.
Please respect the apartment as if it were your own. The block gets pretty quiet after dark and neighbors can hear everything as windows remain open most of the time, so please be conscientious and respectful after 9:00 or so.
And if you could be mindful of the vintage pajilla couch--don't sit on it while wet (stretches out the pajilla), etc--it would be appreciated!
No Smoking in the apartment!
I will be on the property at least through April and am happy to interact as much or as little as guests would like. I feel like I'm fairly good at reading people and tend to err on the side of privacy. But again, I'm just as happy to socialize and share what I know about the island.
