Lying the old town there's a quiet corner of Mitteleuropa.
Furnished with love and fantasy.
Easy to reach by bus from the station, the center is a 5-minute walk. Museums, shops, bars, ice cream, markets and restaurants are all around here.
You can also relax staring at the sea from the windows.
And we have also a cat to caress.
We are Shel and Francesca, two artisans who love recycling, art, travelling and our town. When find this house we immediately felt in love for it. Floors are original from 1903, as doors, windows and the two tiled stoves. We only renewed the power and water lines and furnished the rooms following our philosophy.
You'll find a single tiny room for lone travellers and, although the position of the house, is very quiet. There's another double room available for hosts, so it's possible to find other people during your stay.
You can reach the house easily by bus from the Central Station or you can leave your car here and forget it until you leave. Parking is easy, here.
From here you are near almost everything: the old town, museums, restaurants, wine bars, night life, supermarkets, street markets, boat lines to Muggia (a old Venetian town) or to the beaches of Sistiana, main bus lines and taxis. From our windows you can enjoy charming spots of the sea, the rooftops and the green hills around the city.
Breakfast is provided. There will be space in the fridge for you if needed. The bathroom it' separated from the toilet, both shared with the occupants of the house. There is access to wi-fi and washing machine.
We can agree to an arrival time but if we have guests staying from the night before you will not be able to enter the room until 1300 but you are welcome to leave your things here and get a key if an early arrival is expected. Check out: No rush... just give us enough time to prepare the room for the next guests who may arrive at 1300. Thanks!
Please, no arrivals after 10.30 PM.

We are a couple of artisans, a skilled seamstress and a cobbler, mechanic, handyman, screw-driver man, born here in Trieste. We love travelling, reading, arts, photography, mountains, good eating and meeting new people.
We start to appreciate the art of recycling and re-using before the spreading of this trend and we follow the DIY philosophy. In our home you'll find some odd pieces, made by scrap materials, sweat and fantasy. Our nest is a ceaseless work in progress, and sometimes we are astonished by our own work too and by the changes we did.
As lovers of the good life, we like to give all the best to our hosts. We can suggest hidden restaurants, fancy places to visit or the best ways to reach a choosen destination.
So, if you want to LIVE and LOVE Trieste and its neighborhood, not as a standardised "mass tourist", but as traveller, as explorer, we can help you.
Oh! We forget! We host a cat, also. He's quiet and very friendly, sometimes he seems to be the real landlord.
