Providence, RI has much to love! Martha's listing offers a spectacular, spacious yet cozy apartment in one of the most vibrant neighborhoods in the city. The house is a short walk to downtown for guests who are attending events at the RI Convention Center or the Dunkin Donuts Center (formerly the Providence Civic Center.) Amenities such as a private kitchen with laundry will help you get the most from your trip. Please see my profile for more!
This is the top floor (3rd) of an 1890's Victorian house. The apartment features an entry foyer with a desk, leading to a central hallway off of which are the 3 bedrooms, a full-sized kitchen for cooking, microwave, coffee maker, etc. and a bathroom with a claw foot tub and shower.
The living room, with its unique Victorian-windows, is almost 400 sq. ft. We have hosted groups up to eleven (11) guests, with room to spare. For these groups, we have two large 18 inch-tall deluxe airbeds which are placed in the apartment while still allowing plenty of space for guests to move around.
The entire house measures over 5,200 square feet making for a spacious interior. The apartment allows incredible views of Broadway and downtown Providence (10 minute walk). Seeing is believing!

Guests also have access to the backyard on the property (see photos) and Martha will supply items such as charcoal and cooking utensils for guests to cook on the grill.

Martha is from the Washington D.C. area originally but has lived in the Federal Hill neighborhood here in Providence since 1994. She has an extensive knowledge of the neighborhood and city's local arts, music and restaurant scene and can make recommendations for your stay.
If you need info on nightlife or appropriate dining spots she can point you in the right direction. Other than that, guests are encouraged to make themselves at home whereby Martha allows for ample privacy.
There is on street parking available for guests across from the house. For overnight, guests will be provided with 2-3 parking passes which are hung facing out from their rear view mirror. Overnight parking permits/passes are required between the hours of 2-5am per Providence's overnight parking ordinance.
There is no tobacco use of any kind in the house. There is a small, backyard area if you need to be able to smoke, again neatly, but you should know that that backyard space is also used by our long-term 1st floor tenants in the nice weather.
Pets are not allowed. We understand they are part of some families but in consideration for guests who have pet allergies, we need to keep the apartment pet-free.
